Great video. Here's a tip to remove the leftover wax from a vessel MUCH faster and easier. Just fill it with boiling water and let it sit. the wax automatically separates, floats to the top and solidifies into one piece once it's cooled off. Very easy to remove.

Totally forgot about this method, it's been awhile since I've used any methods other than my heat gun🤦♀️ which unless your candle maker or construction worker you wouldn't have around your house. Thanks for letting her know this quicker and much easier and safer method. She almost gave me a heart attack

It definitely works, but I'm personally not that fond of this idea, as I like to use leftover wax in wax melters, and the fragrances tend to dissolve partially in water. I usually melt the wax using a 2-in-1 wax melter (heating the candle in a pot of hot water would probably work too, though it is not as easy and safe) and pour it into a silicone mold to create wax melts.

Hi Jerika! Just thought I'd hop on here when I saw this. Wonderful video! I thought you might want to know you should NEVER plug a presto pot into an extension cord. It should go directly into the wall. It is actually in the safty directions. My husband is an electrician and I make tons of candles. When my husband created my Presto Pot it was the first thing he told me. No extension cords! So thought I'd let you know. It's simply a fire hazzard is all. Have a great day! Jill Gross

I just put the jar on my wax melt warmer it all melts and just pours out easily… if there isn’t much I throw inside cotton balls to soak it up… it also loosens the wick tabs

Another great suggestion is to pour boiled water inside the jar, this also melts the wax and simply pops out in one piece effortlessly xx

I've been making candles for over a decade and am a former firefighter and re-using jars isn't the greatest idea. If it's for personal use it's fine I guess, but the problem is that heat weakens and degrades glass so the more you expose it to heat the more likely it will eventually shatter or crack. My insurance company also made it clear they wouldn't cover any jars reused for customers so that's another thing to keep in mind. I reuse them on occasion just for me but would never sell them to a customer just to be absolutely safe.

We are watching your video right now, loving it as always. But… my husband is super concerned about your extension cord. You need a cord that can handle 15 amps because of the presto pot. Don’t use the Christmas tree cord, lol.

A better and maybe safer way to get used wax out of jars is either put them in oven on low heat to melt wax or put jar in shallow pan with water and bring water to simmer so wax melts. I personally prefer the oven method to insure the vessel won't crack or brake, especially if it very unique or beautiful.

@@JerikaZimmerman Thank you, you made me so nervous freezing the jar and then my heart racing covering my eyes peaking thru my fingers 🙈 when you were using the knife to get the wax out, I didn't know if I was going make it through your video. Most stressful several minutes of my day and I've been to 3 doctors and had tests done and blood drawn. 🤣🤣

@@IrishQ76omg… reading your post gave me a panic attic😳 you really went on wayyy too much,so very unnecessary. Not to mention you’re not even educated on this matter. For starters this young lady has this down to a science by using mathematics, not to mention that using the freezing method is much more safer than using an oven that can create chemical reactions that can in turn ruin the oven components which can then permeate into the food that’s being cooked afterwards… and last but least what about a FIRE duhh.. oh you poor thing🙄 just try sitting back and listen instead of speaking before we all end up at the Drs for not only lab work but burnt skin and mental breakdowns

I noticed no double wick in yours. What's the purpose for the double wick in previous candle. I'm guessing there's a few answers on that

The double wick ensures the melt pool goes all the way to the edge. Since This was just a candle for me, I didn’t mind if it tunneled a bit.
