Hi Justin, you've been a lifesaver in terms of my progression. I found myself getting lost for what to study and how to improve. Your course has helped me immensely over the past few months. Thank you for doing this amazing service for free!

I use the app every day. I finished the 9 stages but I use the app for fast chord changes like Justin explains. I started off by playing the songs slower but now I play every song at full speed. Some songs are really fast but because of the pressure, you still manage to make the changes on time and I find myself laughing and having a ball trying to stay in time. I never get frustrated with it, I really have fun with it. Definitely worth checking it out. It will speed up your changes. I will be using it again today for exactly that reason.

I’m currently on day 51. I have been practicing between 4 and 6 hours a day, every single day. I break it up into 2 hour sessions so my fingers get a break in between.

Really simple but awesome session Justin. Just what I needed. And you need more amps.

So helpful, indeed. I'm a beginner and I only just started to practice chord changes with the metronome. And because I'm forced to change chords, I notice my fretting hand began to kinda float. 'Grasping' one chord, let go and then 'grasping' the next chord. I sort of easd into it. Also I learned to not pull at the neck so much with the fretting hand, so I started to relax into it more. Thanks for the advice. Big thumbs up for you, Justin. I'm doing your course, btw.

Absolutely! I love the drums! But, playing the guitar feels really good because it's keeping a rhythm too :)

What I do since I’m not good at chord changes , is between chords I strum the strings open , a “Ghost chord “ if you will , this gives me time to change chords without the music stopping 🤷♂️ it works for me anyway

@justinguitar I love this lesson but... having struggled for weeks with chord changes ,I am not sure how good is "as fast as you can" approach when it comes to that. Your accuracy may suffer so much that your fingers don't land with their fingertips. In all the rush you might also touch and silence neighboaring strings (and your untrained ear will not pick on that) or dont press on the right ones hard enough... I usually because of that need to practice chord changes waaaaaaay slower unfortunately. But it is probably better than learning on and on chordes with bad technique. I am really confused how one should approach that exercise correctly. Should I just rush head on as fast as you can and focus on accuracy in some other exercises while during chord changes focusing 80% on speed and only 20% on accuracy?

During chord changes, move as fast as you can. You work on accuracy during the chord perfect practice. Your hands will naturally combine both skills.

Hey Justin, literally just started learning off your channel two days ago and the lessons are great. I've played by ear for years so I wanted to actually learn chords and all and it's been fantastic. You make it easy to pick up and that's a bonus cause so many other videos really don't do it right. I do a bunch of original, parody and cover tunes but it would be nice to start playing for my future video's. I'm a front-man in Jams and stuff but it's about time I learned. You ever want to collaborate on a video sometime, let me know, would love to have you play, I'll do vocals and I'll share you right on my page with a huge shout out. I forgot to hit subscribe but I am doing that now

what's the thing that you put in the nut?
@joaoassumpcao3347
4 жыл бұрын
Not justin, but that's for the guitar noise. If you play electric (and have single-coil pickups especially) and your amp is on, the guitar has a continuous buzz that's really annoying. The only way to "mute" the buzz is placing your hands on the strings, and that thing on the nut stops the buzz from happening when he's not with his hands on the strings
