I know the rear breaks don’t do nearly as much work as the fronts but I wish the bbk from stoptech could come with fronts and rears. The rear entry calipers that brembo use are awesome for quick pad changes.

Although it would be nice to have both front and rears, it's just not cost effective as it would drive the costs up significantly.

@@KevinVo I get that, I’ve actually seen guys running the rear brembos from the performance pack with the stoptech fronts, I don’t know if the had a performance pack car and upgraded the fronts or just did the rears as well. Great video series, I have a 2020 wrx performance pack that I track and autocross regularly but I’m probably upgrading to a brz/frs/86 track car in the future.

Pro tip for next time. Get a two by four or some sort of stick, open up one of the break bleeder's and then press the brake pedal to the floor and hold it there by wedging it in place to the seat. Now you can remove the brake lines all around and no fluid will leak out of the lines. You can take your time and virtually no mess. Oh an that car looks awesome in Silver, that would be my choice as well.

Would you recommend doing something like a stop tech kit? Or going with a swap for the brembos that came in the TRD special edition models? Would the stop techs be lighter than the oem brembos?

Hey Kevin, the old brz/86 knuckles are different size to the old car so the caliper brackets from the previous gen brake kits don't fit. I'm assuming that the brackets in this kit have been modified to fit the new model ? They seemed to fit ok

What is your sister planning on doing with the car? Is it just going to be a fun daily driver? If it's too loud, you can look into getting and exhaust with bigger mufflers or a resonator. How about wheels and suspension?

How many sets of pads do you usually go through before changing the rotors?
@KevinVo
3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on a few different factors. If you're just daily driving a car with street pads, you can go through a couple sets before having to change the rotors. On the other hand, if you're running a really aggressive track pad, that's going to eat through the rotor quicker than a stock pad would.
