I never really got the blues - thought it was just 12 bars...repeat. But I really dig this fusion of chord subs and side-steps as you call them. Neat. Your left hand technique is really inspiring as is the right-hand chops. It all just fits together but more impressive to me is your head-on no BS flow. Crackin' and thanks.

Hmmm, the thing is that I scatter this kind of information out constantly within most of my videos. I tend to get deeper into the top string set triads in my lead studies. @@Johnnylefk793 unfortunately it’s undergoing a little bit of work so I’m going with the Novo on this occasion! (Hollow, with P90’s.. fits the vibe nicely too 👌🏻)

The arpeggio of the song 'Everybody's Talkin'' is beautiful and very complex to type. Hopefully you will try it one day to finally learn how to execute it. The text of the song is fine, but it's not in my interest to sing it.

It is a great song.. I've played it many times over the years. I'll add it to the list of songs to feature in these KZitem lessons. Thanks for the suggestion 👍🏻

Unbelievable lesson. Fantastic!!! What is the six (?) chord sequence beginning at 22:53 please?
@AlexFarranGuitar

Ah yes, I didn’t put that in the lesson materials.. I was just riffing about. But that run was Eb6 (A shape) to Eb6/9 to Eb6 (C shape) then Ebmajor7 (C shape) 👍🏻

Why do the Ebmajor7 sound so acceptable within GMajor? Because of the voice leading from the Eb6? Is there another reason? Please and thanks.

You sound good with the guitar. What do you do without being on the big stages?
@AlexFarranGuitar

Thank you my friend! I was playing on a big stage just this afternoon funnily enough, and I gig in great venues most weekends! I'm very happy with how everything is balanced nowadays.. I've done the touring life, massive stages etc in my 20's and it's not for me anymore.. I like to be home. Plus, I'd have no time to make these videos! 😅

This is awesome.. Gotta ask though, is there a GP/Tab of the intro?
@AlexFarranGuitar
9 күн бұрын
@@bjmkds thanks buddy! The intro is kind of a mixture of some of the ideas discussed in the lesson (which is all transcribed). You can mix and match all of these ideas and play it differently each time round even if the concepts are understood 👌🏻

@@AlexFarranGuitar I get that, but it's played so well that it would be cool as a stand alone thing.. either way. Is there going to be a part two that weaves a solo through the progression?

Glad you liked it so much! 🙏🏻 Oh yes indeed, a soloing companion lesson is just around the corner 😉

I SERIOUSLY doubt you're going to fade into obscurity... between you and David Hamburger there's no longer any excuse for not knowing everything on the guitar
