I had considered doing the entire TAAB for my senior concert at Berklee, but really couldn’t get enough interest going. It really is a big ask for all the transcription! I’m so glad that you did it. I was surprised when trying to get a drummer onboard how few drummers were familiar with Barriemore Barlow’s playing. Every drummer I played TAAB for (in memory, it was maybe three) was blown away by his feel and accuracy. It always sounded to me that the massive fill at the beginning of side two ends on timpani! Well done. I know firsthand how challenging are both the music and logistics of performing this.

Absolutely phenomenal. Bravo Zulu. Sounds way better than Ian Anderson does now. If you have not already. The thick as a brick should be shown to the Martin bar Band.

Thanks for that Carlo, very interesting. It may ‘just have been a cover’ but it was a brilliant one! And I’ve watched it many times. I bought the record in ‘72 ( after Stand Up and Aqualung) and saw it played live too. But I still get a buzz seeing you guys playing it. It’s not a straightforward piece and you cracked it. You are all so so talented - just like Tull themselves were. Good luck to you all.

Really interesting to hear how this came about. I felt sure that the performers were students of music! Well done to all involved, from a long time Tull fan. I hope you're all chasing your dreams! Life's a long song, but the tune ends too soon for us all!

Thank you so very much for doing this now, as what you all did there is yet to be understood properly, just as Vincent Van Gogh's art was misunderstood at the time. I am not exaggerating here. What you did is ONE HELL OF A THING. And I for one love you all for it, thank you. And bye for now.

Thank you for your kind words! I certainly wouldn't compare our cover project to Van Gogh's art, but I'm very happy it speaks to you on such a high level!

But that's the thing, @@carloribaux if you've not read Irving Stone's biography of Vincent's life, "LUST FOR LIFE," which was published at the time where he was able to interview important protagonists, moreover he had access to the letters which Vincent had written to his brother Theo, so well may we know & understand the life & mind of Vincent these days. Back then, it wasn't so clear. The songs "Starry Starry Night" & "The Passenger" are just the tip of the iceberg, you see, so to speak. For a similar illustration here, consider the Clint Eastwood movie, "Bird," where again, it was released at the time where he was able to interview important protagonists, so well may we know & understand the life & mind of Charlie Parker these days. Back then, it should seem that only his wife understood as she refused the medical advice that he be lobotomised. To this day, and for the rest of my sweet short life I for one should always prefer to have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy. Your cover project without your even realising it has cast such an illuminating light upon the music and the song, such as it is. And again, I for one do thank you for it. Well done you & your colleagues!

Buddy Rich isn't really a direct influence of mine. But he's so influential, that he certainly had inspired many of my influnces!
