The way that frame is moving it wont be long before some welds fail. No diagonal bracing on the legs means failure is imminent

The frame is regularly inspected for cracks by a third party. No cracks or breaks for more than 15 years and counting. If it doesn't shake, it will break.

Looks like a shit brick house to me. Pretty sure the train would hit the diagonal bracing.

@@willysnowman he's talking about lattice work between the front and rear. not side to side to keep it from shaking forward and back. I doubt there's no cracks in the welds. looking at how much it moves somewhere along the line something has fatigue... third party usually means nobody

I worked for an outfit. We had a siding we could unload ten hopper cars full of road salt in an 8 hr shift. With a portable conveveor belt and 2 dump trucks. Est. 1 million lbs a day. I hauled salt all over Eastern and central Ky.

Would a vacuum system work?

A vacuum would work but I think it would be bulky and cumbersome.
