Thanks for sharing this video. I'm looking forward to using the new one honed this way.

you're welcome, sir, and bravo to your care regimen whatever it may be... some new razors look less impressive

@@thesuperiorshave I used the concave block from TSS with a strip of lapping film on it (5, 3 and 0.3 micron) just to polish the edge ;)

Would you conVEX your mid range Jnats? Or only my super stones like the 1k,3k, 5k,? my brain has been bombed and wrecked with all this, and thanks in advance....👍

certainly could, but wouldn't if costly. Plenty of inexpensive fine performers from man, but if a natural isn't finisher-worthy, to me it is fair to say it offers me nothing for straight razors if kept flat, as it isn't worthy the last step.

When your razor starts to dull and you want to refresh the edge do you just touch up on the slightly convex hard Ark or do you start back on your more convex stones?

a disciplined Francophile would keep it running just with paste for several years, but honing is a pleasant act to me and I'm not much concerned with winning razor lifespan (after all a business is based on buying them repeatedly), so I personally hit them with the long diameter stone. For me, if they are less than ideal, a short session focusing on bending the bevel seems to restore peak performance nicely.
