Your hair is healthy and I love the cut but I gotta be honest..maybe using a thermal heat protectant before u blow dry while the hair is damp so it will evenly distributed thru the hair…a dime size amount is all u need instead of putting it on your hair section by section will weigh the hair down 💙💙

This is how you get flowy hair that doesn’t frizz … after you wash put in your products while the hair is wet…. you spray on your products in the following order: leave in spray heat protectant serum….. then you blow dry it while the product is on your hair and wet. Also blow dry until the hair is really straight and not just dry. A good tension brush/comb is best. I use a double comb attachment on my Conair. Then you straighten it in smaller sections. You don’t need to add product right before straightening. Usually makes it look greasy. Then you can spray a bit of shine if you prefer. This also makes sure my hair doesn’t frizz after straightening. Always works!!!

Hey I put a leave in and oil generously in my hair before blow drying and my mom went to flat iron and it felt weird I was trying to prevent heat damage. what should I put on my hair before blow drying and flat ironing ? Should I just be doing a leave in and heat protectant before blow drying and then when I go to flat iron should I add more heat protectant spray ?
@leslieannking

@@likelashae4932 hey I would put hear protectant after washing and them blow dry and flat iron. My initial mistake was putting the heat protectant before blow drying but then AGAIN after blowdrying. Nah. It’s not that. 4C hair is my my type. It’s coils are hard to tame. Styles like this would NOT last long. Any humidity hits that hair and it’s gonna look like it was never straightened. My hair gets wet but it doesn’t get weighed down. I love growing my hair but the only styles that seem to work are braided protective styles. 😢

@mirella1120 I would have to see a picture but I strongly suggest using a clarifying shampoo if you are concerned about your hair drying out from that shampoo . Shampoo your hair once with a moisturizing shampoo and two more times with a clarifying shampoo . This will ensure that your hair is fully clean . And also use a conditioner. Invest in a blow out crème and silken serum (a little goes a long way) and make sure you use the right temperature 350 or 400 depending on how your hair straighten .and trim your ends as well your ends may need a fresh chop . And don’t be scared to trim them ends because it also helps your hair to keep growing fuller and stronger

If you wanted to wear it like this for an extended period of time there's a lot of deep conditioners and really good hair serums that can help change the texture of your hair temporarily making it easier to wear this style for long periods and protect it from heat damage. They work really well if you're planning to wear it for a while.

This is a pretty first try. I’d recommend watching other videos of professional stylist who do it so you can see how small the sections are/ what products you should and shouldn’t use. Maybe instead of adding heat protectant serum to each section, just add it at the beginning before you blow dry and then a bit before you flat iron so that way your hair stays light. But the volume on the press is so cute
