I enter by boat the flooded cities in northern Honduras to show you how people are surviving and responding to the national emergency. A tropical storm broke the levees that protect the cities from the rivers, leaving countless neighborhoods under water. Thousands of families who were recovering from Hurricanes Eta and Iota are in crisis AGAIN. They are trapped, sleeping on the banks, seeking refuge on the sides of the roads, or in emergency shelters.
I witnessed the devastating situation of the people who have been left without water, food, and shelter-and the efforts of volunteers, firefighters, authorities, the Red Cross, and the army.
Most of all, thanks to my hero Jorge Aguilera and his friends for their efforts in countless boat rescues. To support Jorge's effort, contact Muscle Gym in El Progreso.
