I really enjoyed this video. Most other videos of insects/bugs that I've seen do not explain or tell us what's being cooked.

Do local Cambodians consume the fried insects as snacks or they put rice with it? And how popular are these compared to other conventional/common food such as fried chicken for the locals? I would definitely try some if I ever happen to come to Phnom Penh, as I believe from where I live here in Indonesia is quite uncommon to find one..

These fried bugs and insects consume as snacks, when people have a beer, they buy all these snacks. Less people eat these with rice, but it's also good with rice as I already tried it. Chicken is good with rice.

@@btfoodstory Ahh I see, thats why most of the customers have it for takeaways as it was meant only for snacking. If you could tell us which beer/local beer brand is Khmer favorite that would be awesome 😀 Cheers

@@bryanfitzgerald95 Local beer such as Angkor and Cambodia are very popular. Foreign brand such as Anchor, Ganzberg and Heineken are also favorites for many.

The way you converse with the vendor, you are so polite and respectful as if you're trying not to annoy her. That's considerate of you.
