A friend of mine actually served an eighteen-month prison sentence for helping the police.... Yes really! He was walking through town on a sunny Saturday afternoon, when he saw two thugs beating-up a lone police officer. So my friend went to help the police officer, but later ended-up being arrested for "assaulting" the two perpetrators after they played the race-card. Long story short, he was given wrong advice by his appointed solicitor, none of the witnesses were called, and as a result, the judge sentenced him to eighteen-months in prison. Never trust the police, and never try to help them. They are not nice people.

I think the girl needed to step up and say what happened. Cops get 911 calls that start like this, "Two men fighting on a bus. " The dispatcher then uses a code to have classify the call. This translate to an" Assault" in progress. It is safer to put both in cuffs while the facts are sorted out. NYC cops are very restrained in most situations. Bad actions of the pass, has resulted in better trained officers.

I understand why they initially cuffed both. It was for safety of officers and considered mutual assault until proven otherwise. Once it was proven, they released the proper person. I respect that they protected themselves and someone else. There are so many out there that would have looked the other way.

Police see this as a fight disturbance and detain both parties until they figure out what happened , as in this case witnesses along with videos showed what had occurred and he was released while the suspect was arrested . And what crime did the police commit ? Please specify . Also he was detained , not arrested , so what part of the Constitution did the police violated and once again be specific .
