This song builds it's unresolve throughout. It never feels comfortable, but it's still comforting at the same time. It's like coming home after not being there for 20 years. It feels like home, but distant at the same time.

Nickel Creek is just a lovely group of folks. They’re so talented and of course Chris is the greatest known mandolin player in the universe. Check out his work with Billy Strings at Lincoln Center…it’s transcendent.

The mandolin player won the MacArthur Genuis Grant and is probably the best living Mandolin player. He has another band called Punch Brothers that are definitely worth checking out. Also, his solo stuff is amazing. All three of the founding members of Nickel Creek have amazing projects outside of the band. They have been playing together since they were kids (before their teenage years). Amazing musicians!

Leonardo, if you're checking out Nickle Creek, listen to some of their earlier work when they were younger and wilderness. The Mandolinist has a pretty amazing voice when he's leading a song, and his playing is spectacular!

I had a chance to sit with them at lunch at a folk festival up here in Canada. This was in the 90's and they autographed my CD for me. They were so young then.

Been following them since this side. Caught an intimate after show in the street I’ll never forget. Great shows back in early 2000s, playing those strings the way it was meant to be!

I saw these guys in the 90's at our folk festival here in Canada. We sat at the same lunch table, and they autographed my CD for me. I love their songs, He Will listen to you, and Moonfleet. They were just kids back then, and so gracious and humble. If you can find their early CD you should listen to, He will listen to you.

Wow, thank you for reacting to this. I had this CD when it first came out, with original singers/players and my children and I wore it out. This version of Nickel Creek is great too. My children know every word to their songs. Chris Thiele, Mandolin player is now in a group called the Punch Brothers. As Tracy Thomas said "the Lighthouse tale" is beautiful.

I love your thoughtful reaction. You picked up on things that I missed. Nickel Creek is wonderful. If you like the acoustic string work and tight harmonies, you might want to check out a band called The Petersens on the song "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow." The band is an obscure Branson Missouri group, but they picked up over 4 million views on that video.

I was lucky enough to see Nickel Creek in concert just last week, and they were not only as great live as their recordings, they were even better! I highly recommend listening to everything they've done as Nickel Creek. Then you should go listen to everything they've done separately. Mandolin player Chris Thile has put out multiple albums on his own, formed another band called Punch Brothers that is made up of equally talented musicians (including Noam Pickelny, possibly one of the greatest banjo players ever), and has put out a couple of albums with cellist Yo Yo Ma (Goat Rodeo Sessions). Guitar player Sean Watkins has also put out albums of his own as well as collaborations with others, and his sister Sara Watkins (fiddle/violin) has put out several solo albums, regularly performs as part of folk trio I'm With Her, and with others. Basically, these three are incredibly talented and everything they do has been great.

Definitely more Nickle Creek they are amazing. Green and Grey, The Smoothie Song, Destination are all great. My favorite is the Fox but you have to hear it live. Any live 6 min version so you get a little Subterranean Homesick Blues. Chris Thile, the mandolin player, has other fantastic bands like Punch Brothers and Goat Rodeo with Yoyo Ma.
