First, thank you for your service. The SR 71 is my favorite also, I love the story of how it was created and its performance characteristics. My dad is a retired Marine colonel who flew helicopters. This museum is on my list. What a great video.

I love this museum i go there every time im in omaha. That particular b52 is the FIRST b52 delivered to the air force. The b36 in the museum did the second to last b36 flight EVER, when it was flown to offut for museum duty.

Thank you for sharing this! That is some great info 😀 And we love this museum also. We are not there often, but we loved this second visit as much as we did the first.

Hi Scotty & Melinda. Brian's dad was a retired mechanic with the Airforce. We've been to the Stafford Air and Space Museum in Oklahoma. Impressive. I think that would be a place you would really enjoy as well.

Thanks for sharing this experience at this wonderful place. Thanks especially for you and the United States Air Forces. A couple of books I know anyone should read to help fully understand the origin of what the strategy involved are: "Superfortress: The Story of the B-29 and American Air Power" and "15 Minutes: General Curtis LeMay and the Countdown to Nuclear Annihilation".

Scotty loved serving our beautiful country. Walking through any air museum is a walk down memory lane for him...especially the SAC museum. We have to stop anytime we are in the area. Thank you for the reading recommendations! I will have to look those up for sure.

This was a couple of years ago, and neither one of us can remember for sure. Lol There are so many aircraft there...inside and outside of the museum. But, I have tried to search Google a little and it does look like there is a B-47 on display inside there. It is a fantastic museum! A little walk down memory lane for Scotty, and I learned more about aircraft history too :D
