This is my kind of video. No music. No only showing you pull in fish. No talking. Just fishing. Love it

Rod is Sage One, 9ft 5wt or a Sage XP 9 ft 8wt. I use Abel Super Series fly reels. The flies are EP fiber shad imitations or deer hair "slider" style flies. If you come down in July/August, you'll need to fish early or late due to the heat, sun, and to avoid the pleasure boats. Floating flies around docks can be good and fishing points with sink tip lines can also be good. There is usually a good off-shore top water bite on calm mornings around underwater points that extend several hundred yards into the main lake. Best of luck!

Great video! What kind of leader setups do you like to use?

Thank you. I use a 4 part hand tied leader. For 8 wt rod I use: 2 ft 40lb => 2 ft, 30lb, => 2 ft, 20lb => 3 ft 10 lb. For 5 wt rod I use a similar setup but drop it by 10 lbs for each section: 30lb => 20 lb => 10lb => 6 lb. Best of luck!

Awesome video, in this one are you using a floating or intermediate line?

Thank you. I'm using a floating line but flies are weighted.

Sir, I live in Lake Norman area. How much would you charge a newbie to learn fly fishing?

It would be expensive...zero dollars :) I could show you some basics and how to set up the gear. It takes a year or so to get the feel of it. Just have to commit to fishing with a fly rod until you develop your own rhythm.
