This hits hard, too darn relatable for me back in the day even when mixer was still around 😅 I think this is why it’s important to post consistently on other social media platforms like KZitem/TikTok promoting your streams where content can live forever rather than hoping someone will scroll down for 40 min to your stream if it happens to be a popular game. You actually can get more viewers/followers streaming A LOT less if you’re constantly making clips/content catered towards your streams. The only time it makes sense to stream 8 hours a day plus is if your already partnered or your getting a ton of traction.

Yeah it's way easier to get views on a 15 - 20 minute video than on a twitch stream. Most people aren't going into random peoples streams they're just watching someone they saw a video on youtube of that got recommend to them

@@Gohgoin my opinion it’s really hard to start on platforms like Twitch. Many big name people come from different media. Some people get popular for being really good at video games while other people manage to get lucky. Luck however is nothing if you can’t keep viewers entertained and engaged. Route I’ve seen some people take is to become popular on KZitem or TikTok to increase your potential audience while also advertising your streams. That’s what I think, I may be wrong but this is what I have gathered. Also of course you can appeal to the algorithm for the platforms you produce content on.

I checked out your KZitem channel I have to say it's a great channel. Only feedback I have is to be a bit more confident when talking in the camera I feel like your holding back a little. the reason why no one is watching is because you have to up your marketing and networking game. When you don't have a team working for you in the background, you have to be your biggest promoter. I'm talking using everything word of mouth, all social media platforms, business cards, QR stickers, Collabs w/ people on your level or a bit higher etc. Get your name out there how ever you can, keep making great content and they won't be able to ignore you. I hope this helped I love when the underdogs win.

Thank you for your advice & I'm so glad you said it because I'm going to take your advice and improve in other areas. As a new streamer who started nearly a year ago on Twitch, there’s a lot I can relate too in this video. The way you’re trying to think of things to say but it feels like it’s pointless at times when there’s no one watching. Being funny and silly on stream to realise that there’s no one here, but you do it in hopes that someone stops by at that specific time. Long periods of not talking as it’s difficult to keep talking, essentially to yourself in some cases. And the way you get up after the stream ends, shutting off all your lighting and feeling very un-motivated when you look back at your setup. For me, I do it for fun & knowing that I have a small community of people who enjoy my content and me as a person, as well as some of the most meaningful compliments I never would’ve gotten normally, means the world to me; it keeps me going I think this video really encapsulates this experience and I related to a lot of it. Keep going. Enjoy the process. And most importantly, have fun and do your best. That’s all you can do ❤️

NO ONE opens twitch, clicks their favorite game and scrolls multiple pages to the very bottom to watch people stream with 0-5 viewers. IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. You have to put in the work and create CONTENT on OTHER SITES and pull traffic in from those sites to where you stream. You don’t get followers by streaming, period. It’s a very complacent way to “try” to grow as a streamer.

It drives you insane, all we can hope is that small community will stick around, that they will keep coming back for some odd reason. Just gotta have hope. Even when it gets especially difficult. I streamed consistently for 3 months and then I decided to stop. I think the main things that gets people views, even if its just 5-10 per stream, is hard work, endurance, personality, and most of all, friendships. Streaming while playing with friends is a great way to not feel lonely even if you're not getting any views. But I realized that soon my life would get just too busy to keep up the streaming endurance, and hard work. I have no personality, and little to no online friends. It took me a little big to get out of the hole that I dug, but I was right when I stopped, my life did get busy. I have no time to stream anymore, no energy, I have a couple friends but I just let them do their own thing when they're streaming their games or just playing games for fun. Streaming for 3 months was alright, but it was time for me to let that ship sail and cross a different bridge in my life. If you really want to stream, then keep at it. People will watch eventually, it just takes time.

Seeing the bloopers at the was great hahaha The slow ZOOM into the 0 views with the most non engaging commentary during a game really said it all I've been streaming for now 5 years, but the first 4 years was really really on and off, with jobs changing, so time zones changed or extremely long breaks in between trying to figure things out. I feel for anyone who struggles with low view count. The one thing I would tell myself back then is, slow down on streaming, find like minded communities to engage with, always try to think outside the box, be okay with being a little uncomfortable and remember there is more to content creating than just streaming on twitch. Find your unique advantages that will make you stand out more than the next person, not in a way of you are better than the next person but the more you want to search for what you are good at or what makes you unique, the closer you will get to becoming the content creator you WANT to be. Edit: Great video I really enjoyed the song you chose that really set the mood for how it feels getting off & feeling that confusion & frustration of, "What am I doing wrong?" when of course it should be, "What can I do differently?" excited to see other videos like this!

I’ve been streaming on KZitem for just over a year, and I’ve managed to build a small community. The important this is to not give up. Well all get there one day. I would not have gotten my 6-10 average viewers without a little grind

Sometimes I would want to cry myself to sleep from stuff like this, knowing that nobody is watching, streaming to an empty audience, a theater with no seats. It may take a while, or it might be quick to get attention. You won't ever know, until you start.

This was me in May 2023 and it was probably the most humbling journey of self discovery ever. At 0 views you really get a taste of what you're made of and if this is the hobby for you. I've grown a tiny bit since then and I will always be grateful for my little community on twitch, no matter what happens next.

Looking forward to future videos! Your transitions are TOP of the notch! They are creative, unique, and different than everyone else. I can see how much time you spent on this video. It is both impressive because of the damn good quality of this video, and how much attention it got. Though I have to say I'm not surprised by this, it deserves views to no end! Keep up the good work!

I can relate to this so hard, I've been streaming regularly for 5 years on twitch, and if I try new games outside of what I normally stream I get 0 interaction, it really makes it challenging sometimes when all you want is someone to chat with, and you feel burned out with the normal games. I know one thing tho, even though I've streamed to 0 people more times then I can count, the moments where things happen just makes it all worth it, and the reason I haven't stopped is due to the people I've had fun meeting over the years. and it's due to that which is why I don't intend to stop my streaming career anytime soon. Keep up the streams and never give up, enjoy streams the way you want too, do what makes you happy

Beautifully made man. I fell victim to the Mixer trap, but had an average of 80 viewers on there at one point. Built a solid community and even had some merch sells. I loved it so much man, but then when I swapped over to twitch, the following didn’t transfer. I tried for a while, but it never picked back up to the height that it once was. I think about going back to content creation often, but with such a saturated space and real life obligations, it’s just not worth it for me. Hope the success of this video can get you somewhere in the creator space!

That feeling when you got at least one viewer who’s interacting with you, it happens to me a lot, you’re about to end stream and they appear out of nowhere and now you don’t want to end the stream, you start talking more, it’s such a weird feeling, I’ve been streaming for a long time now and I have a small but beautiful community, and I can assure you, this is what it feels like when you’re just starting. You really put a lot of work into this and you're very skilled at video creating. Your twitch should be pretty big after this vid but I don't see a link. Either way I believe you should continue with youtube. Great things will come bro! And yeah, it's unfortunate MRBEAST didn't show up for your last stream lol but imagine if it actually happened haha.

Thing about places like Twitch is that for new people it's extremely hard to stand out from behind already well established figures. You have to get really creative in what to do, cause if you try to do what many people already do, you wont get far. Try to be different, try out new things/games. Because if you hop on trends, don't matter how quick you are to do so, bigger streamers will always hog the spotlight.

i just started streaming and man..yeah its like a really sad lonely feeling, like you would think so many would watch you because of what youre streaming, but whats even more sad is when your own friends wont even try and support you to help your channel move on from the bottom barrel of Twitch. a part of me just thinks its not worth it, because its 2023, its like..so far into the year that its too late to like start anything at all, you just want to end the stream because nobody cares, nobody is watching, its sad to look over at your viewer count and its only 1, and that 1 is always gonna be yourself because youre watching chat, it hits so hard because its just the sad reality

To be Honest, Twitch has the worst algorithm, thats why you shouldnt start on it, start on KZitem, it usally exposes smaller creators more than Twitch does

There’s two ways to stream. Characterized production to try creating interested or being yourself and doing your thing. If you’re streaming so try and generate a following, while that can be in the back of your head, it shouldn’t be your main priority. Unless of course you’re trying to invest time and energy specifically to try that and then hang it up if it’s not working, which is fine. This outcome of it not working out or not being monetarily worth your time is going to be the case for 80%-90% of streamers in the first 2 years. I find streaming because that’s the hobby you’re already doing and just hitting live, generally has the best results for longevity and more wholesome lasting interactions, thus creating a stronger tie with your viewer base. Obviously a character or higher stressed production value stream has its potential to grab attention though so maybe you want to try them both too. Good luck to you all in the streaming world and may you be healthy!

I've been streaming for almost 3 years now and I relate 100% to the grind. When I first started, I was lucky enough to start streaming to a few viewers. These days I average 10+ and have met so many amazing people who inspire me to keep working hard. Everything I have now is entirely because of sheer luck, dedication, and a lot of hard work. The best advice I have-what I would have done differently that would have given me a step-up-is to join and get involved in a few communities. Start as a genuine viewer and fan of a streamer, don't do it just to promote your stream or w/e, we can tell immediately. As time passes, you also start making friends within their community and you have a better chance of meeting people who will come watch your stream when you first start. I started as a genuine fan of vtubers, which gave me the opportunity to make friends and meet some really cool people within the vtuber community, and eventually becoming one myself. Google is just one click away, and as long as you're approaching every interaction with kindness, empathy, a healthy sense of self-awareness, and an open-mind, it IS possible to find a community and people who are on your wavelength will gravitate towards you.

I streamed for 3 years on twitch. I had over 5,000 viewers for a month on gta rp. Then gradually the numbers started to drop, there was heckling from other streamers and their audiences and I lost heart for streaming. The viewers went to watch the people who hated me and I hated humanity even more. Here I was looking for community, friends and fun. In 3 years I accepted only two collaborations with energizers, because my dad liked them very much and I wanted to make him happy. Today I'm rocking my art channel after a long break from "being on the Internet". I was badly heartbroken by the previous situation. Currently, even the people I helped at that time do not support my artistic activity. It's hard, this time I'm hitting an environment that will be closer to my heart.

I had a large base and was focused on viewers for a long time. After streaming for two years, I took a break to focus on my mental health. Coming back to streaming after being gone a year killed my channel and I lost those dedicated followers and chatters. Now, I'll be steady with 1 or 2 viewers, and be stuck with a dead chat. However, I've realized that it's not about how many viewers I have, it's about the bond and similar interests I can talk to the viewers that come in about. When I don't have any viewers, I just play the game and comment like I would any other time. It's not necessarily about the money or popularity, it's the memories and experiences you make along the way.

I’ve been streaming a lot in 2023, I’ve seen a lot of ups and downs. For example, I’ve hit 500 viewers and got to 1K one stream, and got donated 350K robux. Some streams, I’ve had barely any views and messages in the chat. This video reminded me of when I started our on KZitem, and I thank God for what he’s given me.
