Oh right, I kept thinking it looks like one of them Vulfpeck guys and the production style is so similar too, then the credits rolled 😅

I am in mild disbelief at that kick sound. Presumably there has been some serious processing done to it
@SaltyAsTheSea

Doubt i mean I've deffo hit a seat like that before and that's basically what it sounds like. A nice bass sounds. Maybe levels were raised but it doesn't sound overly processed to me
@theakaimaniac3722

@@SaltyAsTheSeaI agree, probably just mic'd close (Like a fists width) with condenser mic (like on the Zoom h2n) and put thru, say the SP303 vinyl compressor/Vulf Compressor as is customary in Vulfland, maaaybe a boost round 50/60Hz but leather just tends to sound bassy already eh?
@hydorah

Yeah definitely. It was almost as ridiculous as the people claiming in hasn't been heavily processed. Hit a foam filled, vinyl pad: get earthquake, yeah sure. Dig It

@@hydorahNot disagreeing with you, but personally I'm always surprised at the amount of bass seemingly non-bassy objects have when you mic them close up. maybe not earthquake levels, but Vulf Compressor would take care of that, and I wouldn't call that "heavy processing" in these parts😉 also, I know nobody asked but my favourite kick drum will always be a sheet of perspex hit with the eraser of a pencil, mic'd like 5cm from the perspex. definition of silky bass. don't knock it till u try it 😉

@pandadoublexl I isolated myself in a monastery for three months. Participating in silent meditation for 16 hours of every day. On the day of my departure, the monks all kissed me on the forehead and told me I was ready. Then I came here and commented this.
