The road is empty who cares if he stays in his lane or not.. Better to use the whole road you can go faster then.

Moto Mayhem Shows how skilled of a rider he is using his own lane and not crossing the double yellow like some street Rossi’s out there. Do you know how many times I’ve almost seen an accident while riding the dragon with some guys who ride like that? Way too many.

@@TheRandomBikers > you create a DANGEROUS habit, if you do that on the streets... You don't always KNOW if there is no traffic! Josh didn't have the road blocked off just for him... nor do any of us when we go riding. The FUN and the Challenge of riding twisty roads IS the TWISTS and tight Curves! By double-lining, you are reducing the challenge! It isn't about "Racing" the road... it is about conquering the Twists and Turns... You should ALWAYS Stay on your side of the road when riding in public areas...!! If you ride the Dragons Tail, the LEO's don't bother you for 'speeding'... but WILL Jump on you for crossing the doubles or what they can see as Reckless or riding above your skills... I have talked with several of them, and they have all told me the same thing.

For all those commenting that he is riding fast, but not too fast, keep one thing in mind; other drivers. These are public roads and there are plenty of fools on them or even less capable drivers making normal mistakes. Never ride/drive at the limit of the machine or your skill on public roads. Always give yourself a buffer, because you can never predict when you will need it. There are some amazing roads in the world and this video shows that you don’t have to be a complete idiot to enjoy them, but always be ready for bad things to happen.

I like BOTH... Track days AND twisty mountain roads! I ride in the East, near and ON the Dragons Tail at Deals Gap... and do track days at Road Atlanta and Barber. Of course, the Track is Wider, with no lane dividers, and you are doing the same turns lap after lap... But in the mountains, you can have literally Hundreds of different turns, with all kinds of elevation change and assorted 'surprises' such as getting tighter, or running right beside a rock cliff, or a hundred-foot drop-off 10 feet from the roadway... and generally the turns and curves are sharper and closer together than on a track... and as Josh said, the torque and lower-rpm powerband work better on the tight, twisty roads where you don't have 150+ mph straight-aways. { I ride a Yamaha FZ1 with some 'tweaking' for about 145 rwhp, on Q3+ Dunlops.} And riding the mountains doesn't coast $300 per day... just find a day with good weather, fill the tank, check the tires... and GO!
