Hi, just found your video. Thanks for the precise info. About the preload though, you should start to measure the static sag of the bike with you on it. From there you will be able to really set the bike accordingly.

@@moulip Thanks for watching. Great comment. The challenge with finding a starting point is always the same. I have worked with Fox a lot and they provide fantastic guidelines for rider weight suggested settings - unfortunately with Ducati, they start with road, track, etc suggestions. Have you seen any sag suggestions or guidelines for the SFV2? I didn’t find any. Cheers! Hi

Rear static sag first 10mm. Front rider sag 30% of travel. Recheck rear static and measure rider sag. Ideally level or 5mm lower at the front to rear. Bounce test for rebound and compression to your liking.

I was using the race settings on road and track but went back to road settings for everyday rides because it was a bit harsh for my wrists and arms. But it's definitely too soft on breaking, so I'll have to adjust a bit, maybe with something similar to your settings. But it's good on track for me.

Thanks for watching. I agree - the original set up was hard on my wrists with too much pressure on my hands. Putting more compression and preload up front has helped - I also took some compression off the rear and I think my balance is better. Coming off my Monster 937 the SFV2 definitely has a steeper angle to the front that works when I am tucking but I am still sliding forward to the tank on downshifts and braking … I am trying a lower engine braking setting on my Road mode to see if that takes away some of the diving forward. 👍🏼

You look like the older brother of Paul Rudd (Antman)

Haha! Well I’ve never heard that before. Thanks for watching. I love the original Ant Man movie. 🐜

Oh, I have missed the more recent video. I watched the video and came back. Is the rear at -1 from the standard setting, and for the front, both compression and rebound are at -4, and the front preload is at +9? Are you satisfied with the current settings?

Hello! Thank you for watching! So far the new settings are great - very much improved! Already did one solid ride in the mountains and commuted all week last week. I’m curious to know what Showa says for set up for my weight - I’m 195lbs. 👍🏼

Ps I am also trying the less aggressive setting for engine braking on my Road Riding Mode - definitely less aggressive on braking in the city at lights, etc.

Yes…I went back and double checked the settings to make sure I was at 4 on both compression and rebound, and 9 on pre-load. How is your bike set up??? Would love to hear if anyone has a Streetfighter V2 or a Panigale V2! Cheers! Hi
