Loved Streetheart the first time I heared them in '78 ( Meanwhile back in Paris) immediately hooked To the music. I always assumed by Kenny's raspy voice he was British like Rod Stewert. Everything about the sound of the Band I love. I still can't believe the world missed out. Like Max Webster/ Kim Michell, Prizm and The Hip we got to Keep these Canadian Greats to ourselves. Thanks for sharing this live Performance. I never did get an opportunity to hear then live.

Ok so.... Here I am, a wee little Canadian 12 year old in the 70s with my little transister radio next to my bed while listening to CFOX or CFUN and i'm hearing stuff from Streetheart. I was BLOWN AWAY by how awesome the music was. Still, to this day, wondering how it is still so amazing to hear this creation of music.

I was lucky enough to work with Kenny as a PA on a movie. He was one of the funniest, most genuine, complex guys you could meet. Unlimited stories of rock'n roll that you would never expect.

I'm only 22, but got the chance to see Streetheart 3 times before Kenny's passing. One of those gigs, which was at a country music festival of all places, was up there with the most intimate and engaging shows I've ever seen (and I've been to a fair number of concerts around the world). RIP Kenny, a true Canadian rock legend.

I first heard Streetheart on the radio in 1979 when I moved to Calgary. I thought, Wow! who are these guys! I immediately fell in love with their music, saw them in concert several times and bought all their records. Kenny was an awesome singer and performer. RIP Kenny, you will be missed.

Seen them at the Ice House in London Ontario back in the summer of 1979. They were backing up AC/DC. Bon Scott died about a 1/2 year after.

Saw Streetheart in concert with their first album, funny I can't remember who they were backing up. "They're from where!? Regina?" I couldn't believe I didn't hear of them before this time because I lived there. Love this band and loved Kenny's performance. Saw them at least three times. I met the keyboard players dad once when he came to our house to do a service of some kind. Proud father. I also bumped into Kenny Shields on the street in Moose jaw before a show. He surprised me when he stuck his face in front of mine and said, "hello"

RIP Kenny Shields, a true Canadian rock legend. Growing up in Saskatoon, I remember hearing hearing the wonderful "Jezebel" by Kenny's old band, Witness Inc. played often on AM radio around 1967-68.

Saw their first concert at the Playhouse in Winnipeg with Paul Dean. Still a fan! Checkout the 'Jordache' jeans Kenny is wearing. You had to have a pair of those in 1981, along with them leather bowling shoes. Everyone looked like a jazz dancer.

When you look at Kenny back in those days. The one guy I think that could have played Robin Williams was this guy. I know it sounds a little crazy but the he has the voice and the look, even the mannerism down pat. If I saw this guy and I was looking for someone to portray Robin Williams? Kenny would have been it

In my opinion great bar band far too choreographed which might have capped their success I know it was the times but look at the guys hair, not a strand out of place
@UlricSchlawitz

you must be joking. of course there is some degree of (utterly minimal) choreography. of course they combed their hairs before going on stage. were you able to see bands live in this era?
