The Macro Northern-Eastern Region of Peru, which includes the regions of Amazonas, Cajamarca, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Loreto, Piura, San Martín, and Tumbes, is an area especially vulnerable to natural threats. In the context of the climate crisis, children and adolescents are the most affected, particularly in areas such as education, health, water, sanitation, food, and protection.
Since November 2021, Save the Children has been working hard to strengthen the capacity and coordination mechanisms of regional and local governments, civil society, and communities in these regions. This effort has involved implementing concrete measures to improve preparedness and response to potential emergencies, with a special focus on protecting the most vulnerable children and adolescents and their families.
In this video, we will explore the key initiatives and achievements of this project, highlighting how collaboration and proactive action are making a significant difference in the lives of many.
