Do you know any other exercises to strengthen those muscles? I’m pretty flexible, and can do the splits, my issue is strength. I haven’t really had to lift my leg like that before.👨🏼🦯

CRAZY FLEX! Nice strengh! Lot of people are "just" flexible but there kicks are soft and easy to block up there. Your kicks look just perfect with a lot of strengh! THX

3rd week into doing the whole series once a week and can definitely see changes in flexibility and hip/core strength. Very exciting! Curious what other routines you do to add to your workout regimen. Is it possible for someone in 30's to be able to get full splits?

Thank you so much! This is one of my most asked questions. It is definitely possible! How long it takes depends on your genetics, age, etc...but if you're already seeing results in three weeks, things are looking pretty good for you :)

One thing I notice with your form at the peak, your blocking hand(Fist) should be held behind your back, following your spine to protect your groin area... Other than that, your high kick definitely doesn't suck!!! Thanks for your pointers, ONE

How about guys like me who can kick sidekick about 45 degrees from floor which looks like a joke? Do those streches work for us too or are they impossible even to start with? Should we just leave dojo and never come back :/ I dont know any human being stiffer than me (expect my dad) even I do a flexing routine daily these days. Im super fast but super stiff.

Hi . Thank you for a great video . My son (7yrs) has started karate . I just want to know the difference between karate and TaeKwondo. Does karate teach you high kicks like you just did ? Would really appreciate your guidance. Thank you

I did muay thai. I believe taekwondo focuses on more high kicks. From what I understand taekwondo was used to knock people off of horses? I'm not certain. I believe karate (depending in the style) incorporates more striking, while taekwondo is more focused on kicks.

i doubt you’ll see this, but im sure you know that there are a LOT of martial arts that are different from each other. karate has lots of styles while taekwondo has about 2-3. it depends on the style, but most of the time karate will not be doing as high kicks because taekwondo is focused on kicks, like 95%. higher kicks is always good tho, never a downside!

Am not talking about this video alone. Why people want to kick so high? No one is as high as that. A vertical kick has less impact and it exposes your groin to attack. The best and most powerful kick which Bruce Lee mentioned was a horizontal kick. It has more impact, protects your private area and throws your enemy away. It is more practical and devastating.
