I like how you pulled the extra epoxy pooling on your work table through the striations and the effects that that additional epoxy had on the look of the piece to make it look even more natural. I'll have to remember that when I try this type of look! Thanks and can't wait for more videos!

Terry Jeffrey thank you so much for subscribing. Usually once you subscribe, there’s a little bell to the right of the work SUBSCRIBE. I’m not sure why there’s not one on my channel 🤔😳

If I was doing a whole countertop, I wouldn’t be able to tilt it, so can I get those same effects with using the heat gun?

Hi Rhonda. I have tried to duplicate this look and thank God I started with my backsplash first. When I tried to lay down my spray paint color it granulated...almost like coffee grounds? The colors wouldn't blend. So basically I wound up having to go a different direction because I had already poured all my pieces. What did I do wrong and can I go over these pieces and try again without having to sand down to the substrate? Lastly, Im doing two HUGE counters. I don't want it to look like a striped pattern....in other words I don't think I want gaps with no striation...is this what you would recommend? I know this is a lot but I'm nervous having only seen this small section you are showing here. Thanks...love your videos.

A couple of things may have happened. Are you using a flat sheen in your spray paint. Sometimes flat paint will cause clumping, just like you are describing. I stick to gloss when I can or satin. Even some of the satin colors will clump a little. Also, if your epoxy is already starting to set up and isn't very fluid, the paint clump and not want to move. You can heat the area you're getting ready to add paint to before you spray. You shouldn't have to sand all the way down to the substrate. Let the epoxy harden, sand lightly or until smooth and then you can start again just as if it were a new surface. On your countertops to avoid gaps, maybe add more striated lines and work into the epoxy a bit more. You can also move the veins a little more with your heat gun. Hope this helped a little, good luck and have fun!
