I can't resist a bargain...or pine furniture so when I spied these lovely bedside cabinets in my local charity shop I knew they needed to come home with me. Only one problem: they were already painted. I usually avoid painted furniture like the plague mainly because it takes such a long time to strip and you never know what you're going to uncover. That being said there is always exceptions to the rules and these were one of them.
This video goes through some of the methods I used to remove this paint but remember stripping something that has already been painted can differ depending on many things like the type and age of the wood, the finish underneath the paint, the type of paint used and the type of topcoat used. Methods and products will very depending on those things and there isn't a hard and fast rule for every single instance.
