Excellent podcast.I am a Neurosurgeon so I put my wife to watch it and she understood ,appreciate , and became family activist with the kids(old now) to check themselves for risk factors. I did enjoy the plain and didactic excellence you both have. Thanks

My lovely neighbour Paul has a daughter who is a nurse & recognised he was having a stroke. Ambulance came took him to Warwick hospital & then after hours sent him home saying he seemed fine no stroke. Immediately family contacted local doctor who saw him & rushed him to Queen Elizabeth hospital. 24 hours wasted & he is now unable to do his job of 40 years. I live in the UK & our government has decimated local hospital resources but luckily the local doctor intervened. Some medical people are not good & a lot are amazing. Thank you for your great show. ❤

Thanks for all your insights, I've learned so much & this has helped me significantly adapt my lifestyle (as late onset dementia runs in the family).

Really great information on how important (and significant) diet and lifestyle is to minimising the risk of a stroke. Everyone should know this, for our own health as well as our friends and family. Thank you for sharing this invaluable knowledge 🙏

I have been on the road this Summer and my diet has slipped a bit (gotten a bit cheesy and sugary). The case study at the beginning caught me during a meal with both of these. I will be at my new apartment in a week, definitely time to clean things up.

When I had my stroke I fell on the floor I blacked out and I woke up in the hospital which I stayed in for 4 days. That was last thanksgiving day now im😊 still slow but I have headaches and I have a little drop face and leg I did have the shot to help to. What I do know is what they tell me. They told me they didn’t expect me to live but God was not done with me yet.

We need more information publicized. Instead of pushing pharmaceutical drugs on television, we need healthy lifestyle information provided.

I have the ear lobe creases known as “Frank’s sign” and have read that though the research is inconsistent, they may be associated with increased risk of heart disease an indication of weak blood vessels to the neck and head. This seems to be controversial among medical experts and I wonder what your thoughts are.
