I’m thinking standing in an open field with that kind of lightning isn’t too smart.

Should have been watching it in a much safer way and watch it quietly without cussing. I would be more impressed noticing the flashes from the distant thunderstorms.

No, thank you. I was not cussing, nor was I unsafe. I knew the storm motion and I understand radar/ visual storm structure. I was in zero danger. I’m entitled to make all the noise I want on my videos and it’s not for everybody and that’s okay.

Entitlements are only temporary and so is dishonesty. Anyone who chases is in danger of some kind. Storm chasers often get killed by lightning or hydroplaned on wet roads.

And so are you on your way home from work if a thunderstorm comes along. It’s part of the job, there is zero way to attempt to observe and make reports on a storm completely out of the way of lightning. Although I turn it into content, I have to physically see the storm structure to make reports to the weather service and the emergency management wings I report to. As I said, if you have a problem with the content, hit the thumbs down button and go watch a chaser with a telescope.

and often is a loose term considering there’s been roughly 10 killed in 20+ years and 4 were on the same day in one storm. Chasers know what they’re doing.

Wow! What an absolutely AMAZING video and opportunity to capture this weather visual. Only thing that would have made this better is if we could have had audio of the storm/wind. Instead the videographer couldn't keep his flappy trap shut and so now we have to mute it.

Thank uou, I guess? I drove 1,500 miles total for the footage of a lifetime so excuse my enthusiasm. I was also live-streaming attempting to describe what was happening to my viewers but criticism taken and I’ll see if I can work a way to get the best of both worlds.

dude you don’t have to be so rude about it.. if you didn’t like him talking just click off lmao? If you had spent that much time trying to find a storm like the one that day, then end up seeing this tornado in person, I’m sure you yourself wouldn’t just sit there staring at it silently after putting so much work into seeing it.
