What are the things that help you out when teaching or learning with strong or light winds conditions?

Super important in lightwinds to have a kite that will relaunch easily. The viron looks very interesting in this respect. We've enjoyed teaching with single strut kites for this reason. Light, easy and forgiving. Extending lines to 27m has also been useful at the low end of the wind range for people who are starting to ride. This gives more area where the kite can fly and an extended length to the power stroke.

I have also tested with single struts, and there is a clear advantage to the 3 struts in lighter winds. But the viron was an even better tool for teaching than the one-strut inflatable. Riding personally is not exceptional, but education is my go-to tool.

Hello, thx for video. I would learn to my son, 12yo and 40Kg. I think about this model. Do you think it's possible to him to learn the first edge and upwind with a Viron 4m² ? We Ride near Leucate in France. 15 to 30 knts (and more, but not for a child).

Thank you for reaching out. Considering your son's age and weight, I'd recommend looking into the hybrid model, specifically the 3.5m² version. It offers superior depower compared to the Viron, which I believe would be more suitable for a young learner. I've created a video review on that particular kite, which might provide more insight. I genuinely believe it would be a great fit for your son, especially in the wind conditions you mentioned near Leucate. Stay safe and happy kiting!

I find that learning in strong conditions particularly waterstart is best because you don't have to move or dive the kite much to get the power you want, so less movement means less to worry about and more focusing on body positioning and other things rather than diving the kite like crazy, it's just so much easier when you're powered than lightwind or underpowered.

i agree it's a lot easier to practice in the stronger wind as it is always easier to take power than to increase. This kite helps particularly in the low end due to the lower weight. So it allows you to improve important skills even in lighter wind conditions.
