Wow, that must've been a good 70mph wind gust to effortlessly snap the trees like that. Could you imagine if that had happened in the summer?!

Well, what's wild is the first tree that snapped actually leaned against the direction the wind was coming from. So this gust was not only strong enough to stand it up straight, but to bend it in the opposite direction and snap it off, then fling the snapped off piece 20 feet away from its trunk. And no, I couldn't imagine this hitting during the summer. In a storm that only lasts a few minutes? Sure. But for 7-8 hours? No. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like. It would devastate our forests.
