one stockpile? You need wood, stone, iron, hops and beer.

Sigh. This video looks like someone saw a good castle and tried to recreate it without understanding a single thing about it! 1) Accessibility: some buildings can't be accessed in the example above! Even if they can, it's very easy to make production twice as slow, if you let your workers run slalom and don't plan the location of your buildings. For instance, the most efficient production of crossbowmen is in my memory 4 crossbow makers and 3 tanners. Now, since the tanners need cows, they should be closest to the farm so that they don't even need to go to the inner bailey. The crossbow makers need wood and should thus be closest to the castle keep. With bread production, it's a similar story: mills close to the farms and bakeries close to the granary. Plus, don't ignore the ratio between the buildings. 2) storage: you need at least two storage units to store all the goods you need and even with 3 it can be that you overproduce stone and then no iron or wood can be stored until you use it up first, or sell it! I thus recommend 3-5 storage plates. Similarly, I recommend two granaries to withstand sieges a bit longer without starvation. Also, don't forget that storing extra stone and wood helps you recover faster from the enemy so that you're not vulnerable to the next attack... The armoury, the granary, and storage units obviously need good roads. You can get away with crowding other production sites, but you should keep broader paths to these special buildings and make sure that you got gates from there to the most important directions. 3) gates: gates are the weak spot of castles in more ways than one. Having just one gate slows down the economy and you definitely don't want your army to run through endless narrow streets to the one gate in the back to engage an enemy army that is attacking your farms on the opposite side of the castle! On the other hand, gates are quick to destroy and they can also be conquered by assassins. I'd highly recommend making a small bailey with only the most important buildings and giving it gates to all sides, but then containing it in a second bailey. Thus, the enemy needs to breach at least two gates and hopefully a moat as well. The outer yard may even be asymmetrical. Many buildings can hide behind the castle from the enemy and workshops can be placed closer to the farms. Lastly, you want to have at least two gates on your outer castle, as one will likely get blocked for prolonged times, when you keep getting attacked by multiple enemies... 4) Fire security: your castle runs the Saladin problem of fires spreading from outside buildings to the bailey itself! Having a moat or thick wall in between will stop fires. Also, scattering buildings into three groups or more minimizes the damage. Also, I didn't see sufficient wells to extinguish fires. Again, fire security is very dependent on how easy it is to get in your castle from A to B... 5) focal points: If most of your enemy is just coming from one direction, it makes sense to double the number of turrets there and add to the thickness of the walls and moats. If the castle gets too big or has too many towers, you'll struggle to provide enough firepower to just one area. However, it can make sense to create an outpost with maybe two towers to protect your farms from constant raids... or simply to harass the enemy without exposing too much of your actual castle... It can also make sense to put the recruitment sites into the outpost to facilitate quick responses and attacks. Alternatively, you can put them between the two walls in your castle facing the gate that is closest to the enemy. Another concept is funneling the enemy into your focal point. Due to the AI, you can do this quite literally by placing two walls that aren't too attractive as targets on their own. Where it gets narrow, you can place traps, oil, fire bomb throwers (protected by towers), and all the other firepower nearby just protected by the moat...

Yeah, he needs to swap the inn with the marketplace and instead of having that double gap with the shop need the armory, just have the gap on the side of the armory and slide the rest down. It is a doable build though. Weird how he went absolutely crazy with the wood traps and didn't mote the back at all though....

To be honest this is very bad, no bread production 1-2 windmills for around 56-122 population(because of beer) and 8-16 bakerys, only one in and one brewery, personally i do 3 inns 2 brewerys and 2 hopfarms with 90 population to get the full +8 bonus (1 Inn = 30 population). You should do 4 Stockpiles as well as 2 granarys and 2 armorys if you dont want to have to go sell and use up things. The caste is way to small for that tho... but against like 1v1 with weak - lower High Tier Ai's it might still work but against more than one high tier might start a problem already... especially with unprotected towers that can be shot by catapults and trebuchets easily as well as no engineering guild.
