Thanks for sharing your machines layout Carl. I have the RS196 and haven't seen the general layout of the upgrade machine. It is funny how people make comments like "why isn't it hydraulic drive". That's the beauty of Struck's mini crawlers, simple, functional , very maintainable (for the average Joe) and ultimately the success in the lower total price of this American Made jewel! I have the basic 8 hp (pull start) motor (also bypassed the seat switch) and love the simplicity of my machine for my needs. People groan about pull starts and I don't get it. That's is why it was under $5K and there isn't anything else to match it. Struck is a classic American family business, offering affordable, maintainable, durable products for various applications and users.

The older MD750 from the early 2000s did have hydraulic drive. They probably had issues or they got too expensive to repair vs the kevlar belts.

The rt1150 is hydraulic drive and they stopped making the rs1000.

(Posted by Rick Pickell) Thanks for the video. I have an K196 that I am trying to up grade to a rs 1000. Was able to see how yours is put together. That helps as a good example. I'm planning on planting a Carol Stream / Yamaha one lung diesel clone in mine. I might just have my work cut out for me on this one.
