Structured literacy instruction teaches students in an explicit and systematic matter. Once students have learned some sound and letter correspondences it is important to teach students to blend those sounds together to read words with 2 and 3 phonemes. Start with consonant vowel consonant patterns and use phoneme grapheme mapping activities to help students begin to spell words with these same CVC patterns. Be sure to like and save this for later.
