Thank you so much, Prathyusha! I like using these seventh chords and layering in improvised melody because I agree it has an effect of transporting you into a different world. When I play this progression, it kind of reminds me of old adventure video game music or something like out of Zelda, hah! Anyways... exploring this is fun. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much. You definitely added some great sounding chords to my repertoire as well as new techniques. Your teaching style is clear and understandable so that it is easy to pick up the new material in a short period of time and integrate it into my playing. Keep up the good work!

This was a great lesson on starting improv with a bit of theory (without talking theory). Hope you do more of these. Thanks.

What is 7 in cmaj7 chord How to learn these basics....the very basic things... Have you put up videos on basic theories of the music?

To figure out the major seventh note in a C major chord, take the C major scale and stack up the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th scale degrees (1-3-5-7) to form a Cmaj7 chord. So, in a C major scale, you have the notes, C-D-E-F-G-A-B. If you select the 1-3-5-7 scale degrees, you get the notes C-E-G-B. Check out my book "Ukulele Exercises For Dummies" for a deeper exploration of scales and building triads and chords :)
