I rewatched your video. It's getting harder to rank their albums as they release more music. Most people rank the debut, Reborn and MBP lower and the other albums higher. When even the Devil Believes came out I ranked this as #1 but now the hype has settled I think it would be #2 and Fallen would be #1. The new one Final Battle was a bit of a disappointment when it came out but I seem to like it better recently. Lot's of killer tracks on that one too. When you think about it, Stryper has an unofficial 13th album. It's basically those previously unreleased tracks on the compilations: Believe, Can't Stop the Rock, Something, For You, Tank (the drum solo on the Roxx demos), God, Bleeding from Inside Out and Blackened. These aren't talk about as much but these are also great songs. Perhaps when then next one comes out next year you can do an updated Stryper ranking. Are you up for the challenge?

Musically i think that Against the Law has the best music imo, but it's the one album that departed from the Stryper sound. I love it but ranking the rest is tough because Michael continues to pump out some good writing. His writing ages like fine wine.

Hey Brother! It’s been a bit. That was brilliant brother. You nailed it. Especially how the new albums are at the top. It is ashamed that people don’t even know they are making new albums. Stryper is perfection. When you hear those guitars you k own it is Stryper. The only thing I would have switched would be Againt the Law with In God we Trust but that’s me being bitchy. Maybe Soldiers higher. Every time I hear a new Stryper riff it takes me to the first time I heard the song Soldiers Under Command it 85, it just blew me away. Can’t wait for the reactions on the new album.🤘🏼Again very nice job brother🍺oh & kiddos again for like you said” Good music is good music no matter the message”🍺

Yellow And Black Attack started out as a 4 song EP - local Californian release (first pressing sold out in weeks) and rush back in the studios and recorded two more tracks, and released nationwide. Sold 200,000 copies and surpassed 350,000 by 1985. They released it as a 8 song lp in 1986, and made it to gold status. 11. Reborn (2009) never could get into it 10. God Damn Evil (2018) I like the album cover, but I found the tracks listenable, but not my cup of tea 9. Fallen (2015) title cut is best track, just not enough for me to purchase the album 8. In God We Trust (1988) favorite track The World Between You And I 7. Against The Law (1990) favorite track Lady 6. Murder By Pride (2009) the title was a focus on the lost of his wife, who died of cancer - Boston cover was my favorite, which he was touring at the as Boston lead singer 5. Yellow And Black Attack (1984) Loving You is my favorite track (ep) and I'll Always Love You (lp) 4. Even The Devil Believes (2020) title cut really rocks 3. No More Hell To Pay (2013) Michael Sweet said this was their original thoughts to release after To Hell With The Devil, but the label talk them into to go more poppy sound - Jesus Was Just All Right cover is my favorite 2. To Hell With The Devil (1986) although, their only platinum status album, but still very good 1. Soldiers Under Command (1985) title cut is one my personal favorite, The Rock That Makes Me Roll is my all-time favorite song by Stryper

To Hell With The Devil and Soldiers Under Command is very hard to choose on which one will be first to me. Both albums have the best songs IMO. They take me back to my high school days. Seen them twice in 85 and once in 86 and in 2005, the band I played for at the time, had the privilege to open up for them in a club in Houston. Awesome memories.

So hard, but this is my ranking. To Hell With The Devil No More Hell To Pay Fallen God Damn Evil Soldiers Under Command Against The Law In God We Trust Yellow & Black Attack Murder By Pride Reborn In my mind, Stryper's return to greatness occurred with the birth of one song, "God", the sole original song on "The Covering". "Reborn" was ok, but I really only go back to the title track, so heavy. "Murder By Pride" was much better, as you said, and hinted of them getting their footing again. "God" blew all the previous mediocrity away. I vividly remember that prior to the release of "The Covering", they teased by releasing snippets of an instrumental version of "God", before they had lyrics or even a title. As soon as I heard it, I thought "YES! THAT is Stryper firing on all cylinders again." I think that single song layed the groundwork for the excellence of the next three, and now four, albums to come.

I want to know where he ranks the new album, Even The Devil Believes. I think Even the Devil Believes is going to change his list. What will he bump: God Damn Evil? To Hell with the Devil IMO is the best album of the pre-breakup Stryper, and Even the Devil Believes is the best album after the breakup, but I love them all. Oddly, Reborn is my least favorite and I think that is because there is not much guitar soloing on it. I was born again in 1984 and listend to some Christian Rock, Petra, Daniel Band, Jerusalem, ..., but never heard of Stryper until the 2000s when I found Reborn at a garage sale. Listened a few time and tossed it in a pile. Then in 2019 I got it back out and was spurred to explore further. In a matter of months I acquired every Stryper album on CD. It is the only Christian rock band I really care to listen to, other than some of the Bob Dylan stuff from the early 80s. Stryper is of a competence and quality matching the best in the secular rock realm. If I could only have two albums it would be Even the Devil Believes and Second Coming. I love Second Coming because it gives a good cross section of the pre-breakup Stryper, reproduced with the best of modern technology and with the original band members.
