Nice. What state are you in? Is it a regulated state? Does the state regulate home inspectors?

Thank you. You may be interested in the free online course www.nachi.org/stucco-eifs.htm, which is very challenging because its training content is detailed and thorough. You'd like that course instead of the short "tips" video which is essentially a promo teaser for the course.

Isn't it true that even newer "Drainage" style EIFS have been the subject of class action lawsuits for allowing moisture buildup?

@@BenGromicko thanks for the response. I am about to buy a house with EFIS and there are no licensed EFIS inspectors. I am trying to determine how much I would have to spend to replace so I can put a concession amount proposal to the seller.

Siding to windows, doors, etc. These are critical junctions. Not addressed here. I guess I'll check out the lesson. Thanks, btw, for this video. It is helpful mostly for identification of "stucco-type" cladding systems. Think the video should be renamed. Ben, I'm a fan...just sayin'!!!!

Should start training introduction from construction of EIFS or stucco components step by step. You can't just to this wall as example. It's easy to confuse the learner. There is no 3-D concepts to know inside components and layers during construction.

You should be more transparent, the course is free but after you sign up for the paid membership. I want to learn more about the system not to become an inspector but an educated homeowner. The fee isn't a huge a expense but we should not be lead to sign up for an account to find that a paid membership is required to watch the "free" course.
