I have a question that should we come for masters in Germany after gaining some work experience or directly as far as jobs are concerned after masters. And another doubt is should the field of work experience matters or not like I got placed in good IT company but I want to do masters in mechanical/automotive field. Please give your suggestions

In TU Berlin, there is a MSc Automotive systems course(German taught, has limited no. of seats, begins both in winter and summer semester) where Computer Eng, Electrical Eng, Mech Eng, Computational Engineering Science all these BSc graduates can apply. The 1st semester(it is super intensive) in this MSc course is specially made for different graduates to cover up their deficits by the start of 2nd semester. Relevant work experience is best(upto max 3 yrs). This Msc course is your best shot if u have study gap and only IT related work experience even though you are Mech Eng grad. In Berlin, Mercedes Benz produces cars, BMW produces motorbikes and these drive other automotive suppliers in Berlin. But even then the automotive industry in Berlin is not even close to being as big as in Munich and Stuttgart. Tesla is starting up in Berlin and can hopefully change that, nice timing. Thus hopefully u can have good "werkstudent" experience in Berlin's companies which will help u to apply anywhere in Germany for Automotive related internship/job. Thus, u would have an excellent profile while applying for internship even if u don't have "compulsory internship" integrated into your degree program.

- Work-experience is good, nice to have but not must to get the admission. (For Job it can be helpful) - Field-related experience to your target job matters, you can not show IT experience for the job of CAD work. (You can mention it, but it will have no positive impact on your application) - You can gain experience during your MS as well, with Internships, or student projects. Hope this will be helpful.

@@M4dianThanks sir for your valuable suggestions. In my case I just graduated and can't able to find core jobs in my city and have got a job in IT field. I want 1 year to learn German and preparation thats why I am taking this job + will learn some programing things as well + I will have something to show what I did in 1 year. But the dilema of mine is that due to this job there should not be any problem in finding jobs after masters.

@@danishpathan1501 There won't be any problem, but that experience won't be plus point for a job in core jobs, if you wish to continue with Software development kind of jobs, it would be useful, or some core jobs where programming knowledge can be a plus point. So nothing goes in vein, but thing is you have to be sure, what kind of work you want to do in future.
