I think its becasue the price of what we paid for what we got was not what it was said to be and people refuse to live below their means. I still live with my parents while I pay this crap off. Lol Hard to reduce expenses in this economy though.

@bryanbrasile2703 - Appreciate you checking out this video…hope you like the one coming out today…it’s similar in nature to this one. You make a really valid point about getting what you paid for. So true. I wonder how many full-time college students are truly that though…full time learners…I wasn’t. Which is why in the video I mentioned my awareness that me spending on my lifestyle added to my “student loan” balance. My wife was allowed to live with her parents rent free for a year before she and I lived together…the fact that you’re able to do this speaks volumes to your parents’ love for you and your ability to take advantage of an awesome situation…be proud of it, but don’t allow it to be permanent. we are making plans to do the same for our daughters - an option to live at home to help them “get started.” As you continue on your financial journey, if you’re able to find financial footing & prosper beyond where you’re at now, then it will be in your control to prevent this situation from happening to your kids one day….or not…who knows, maybe this “phase of your life” will turn you into a motivated grinder. Time will tell…and I hope and wish you a prosperous journey my dude. Appreciate you.

I earned a double major Bachelors degree in Gender and African Studies. I was really happy and proud of that academic accomplishment. But now I have $96,000 in student loans to repay and my Dad who voted for Trump wants me out of the house by September. It’s all coming to a head and I don’t know what to do. I thought they were going to forgive student loans? Why won’t they help students like me who need help? I can find work, but there are no jobs related to my degrees that will help me pay for apartment and food and pay back the loans. I am so sad right now and afraid.

@mfriedrich2012 - Congrats on your accomplishment of the double major - impressive! You will be able to have that for the rest of your life & I think you should be proud of that. Seriously awesome. As I mentioned in the video, I saw my student loans adding up during my undergrad and knew that my financial behaviors during school would lead to more debt. Actually, had I been able to maintain Florida Bright Futures Scholarship I could have graduated with less debt, but that didn’t happen. Adjusted for 18 years of inflation, my $41k of debt would be about $65k today…so your $96k is quite a bit more than my story. As you were getting your double major was there ever any thought to how that knowledge could be applied for income in the real world business environment? From what I’ve learned having had literally thousands of financial planning conversations over the years is this: each person has adversity…some people’s adversity is truly harder than someone else’s…so it’s not apples to apples, BUT…no matter what your adversity, I believe that if you’re able to create a plan, recalibrate your expectations, and do something positively drastic to better yourself while on your pursuit of happiness, then you can at least put yourself on a path that has a light at the end of the tunnel…once you see the light, it helps the days go by easier. Let me know if there are any financial questions I can help with. No doubt, you will have a tough road, but it will make you a better and smarter person as a result…and that gets me excited for you! You will be stronger…only a matter of time. You can do it! 💪🏻💪🏻

@@Financial_Awareness Pretty sure that was joke to make a point. Fairly obvious to me anyway.

@patriotdrone9566 - if that’s true then 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ - and I’m an idiot. Lol However, a guy commented on one of my videos the other day - legit saying he still lives with his parents…so I guess I had that on my mind and was trying to be helpful just in case this story was real. …but yeah, now I see the sarcasm. Oh man. What’s wrong with me? 😂
