I am a UK citizen but Sri lankan origin. Your story relates to lots of people including myself. Job is a job and we earn money to better ourselves. Western countries never judge people for what they do for living. You can be a cleaner today, but five years later you can be a Managing Director of a company. Hope Srilankans will change their mindsets one day and create a society like western countries where hard working and ambitious people can achieve their goals. Also your story is an inspiration to others.
Great Akke I was so proud of you when I saw this. A girl needs a lot of courage to work in a country like this. you are very strong. මේක බලද්දි මගේ ඇස්වලට කඳුලුත් ආවා. ඒ තරම්ම ඒ හැඟීම් මටත් දැනුනා.

You took me down the memory lane .I experienced all those things .Was both a commercial cleaning and house cleaner and a tutor at the same time .Did my masters and got back home because of my mum’s illness .Now, working at Pera uni as an academic staff member .But , it was a lifetime experience.I like the way you genuinely express this student life in order to help others get an idea and achieve their dreams .All the best 🌸
Just watched your video your parents should be proud to have a daughter like you. A courageous girl it was a good teaching to the young generation thank you.

You're one of the strongest girl I've ever seen. I've watched every one of your videos and this one is the best! This video gave me a lot of motivation and morale, thank u so much for sharing your journey with us. Really proud of u and wish u all the best in your future endeavors ❤❤❤
So inspirational. Our Srilankens must learn to work in Sri lanka like this & our country too will prosper like Australia. We don't appreciate what we have in here. If we live in our country with the same attitude we can earn &live happily in our precious motherland. I always love, serve & greatful to Sri Lanka, my motherland.❤❤❤

You must read up more on capitalism and consumerism, Asanthi. I understand your point though. People's basic needs must be met for anything to happen in Sri Lanka. Food prices going up like crazy with no minimum wage set, does not help.

Exactly same story as mine. While I was doing my masters in Japan I worked at restaurant first, then worked at logistic company (8:00pm to 6:00am) and then a cleaning job. Later, I also worked as a teaching assistant at the uni. But now I’m working at an IT company in Japan. 100% agree with you. Do not give up at any point.👍❤️
