In a practical lesson at Kaiboi National polytechnic, I undertook an interesting venture to assemble a Toyota Engine.
It was around 11 when we went to the workshop. Being the class representative I was tasked with bringing the necessary tools from the supervisor.
That done, we started assembling. But before that the supervisor tasked us with making the rotary oscillating motion of the pistons a reality.
Given that we had the nessecary tools we pounced on the Toyota masterpiece.
That's what I love.
On, we disassembled the oil pump from their bolted points on the crankcase. Keep in mind that the oil sump was already disassembled.
After some moments we started unbolting the crankshaft from the pistons. One by one they went.
It was a problem at first. However, we gained momentum as time went.
Pistons removed - first Case, closed.
Then assembly started.... Bolting back the crankshaft and synchronizing them with the pistons, we engineered our way out.
The process went, the pistons were Good 👍
The water pump system was installed, the flywheel was nowhere to be seen.
The crankcase was finally over and above we went to the camshaft housing- Cylinder block.
The tappets ,springs and synchronizers were missing, but, as I said, the first prototype earns you rare ones.
We finished with the top cover and left the workshop elated.
Here is the masterpiece I managed to record, edit and posted for you to enjoy.
Let me post the Links to the smaller chunky parts.
