Most people look forward to Friday. At Riverside School, it’s specifically lunch time on Fridays that students and staff never want to miss. Kristen Lasley’s class turns into “Lasley’s Diner,” where students with special needs prepare and deliver custom lunches ordered by faculty and staff. Lasley, an intervention specialist, and colleagues teach life skills to 6th through 8th graders who learn how to set a menu, package the food, handle money, and so much more.
