hey, I was wondering if you could suggest which are good locations for student housing for chemical engineering students

I would suggest applying for student apartments in Otaniemi. All student apartments in Otaniemi are pretty close (5 to 10 minutes walk) to the chemical engineering building :)

Hey there :) Let me tell you about it briefly. Aalto offers loads of activities for students of all types. They organize a ton of events that cater to diverse interests, so you'll always find something exciting going on. Personally, I gotta say, studying at Aalto is a blast. The campus is in a prime location, making it super convenient to get around and one of the best things about it is that it's surrounded by nature. Aalto University offers part-time positions, often as assistants. It's a common gig for students, and it's a great way to gain experience while you're at it. I hope you'll have an awesome time studying in Aalto 😊

Do they teach you in English?

My lectures are in Finnish, but some materials such as books and etc. are in English. It is possible to study bachelor's degree in Finnish or English but master's degrees are completely in English. ☺

Hello, Nini. It's my dream university, and hopefully, I will be starting next August. I will be studying either computational engineering or data science. Can you share your personal experience as an Aalto student? Thanks for uploading the vlogs; they really motivate me

Hi 🤗 I’m glad you enjoyed watching this video and found it helpful 🌸 One of my friends is studying Computational Engineering, and currently, he is working on his Bachelor’s thesis. He will commence his Master's program in Photonics and Nanotechnology this coming autumn. Personally, I find studying at Aalto University to be a great experience. I would even go so far as to say that studying at Aalto offers significant advantages. The professors are friendly, and the courses aren't solely graded based on the final exam; instead, the workload is distributed quite evenly throughout the semester. This approach helps students remain engaged throughout the term and reduces the exam pressure. It's entirely feasible to work alongside your studies, and Aalto University even provides part-time job opportunities for students as professor assistants. The campus hosts a plethora of events, allowing students to mingle with new people and expand their social circle. I've also heard that some foreign universities don't permit exam retakes, meaning students have to ace the test on the first go, or else they have to redo the entire course. However, at Aalto, you're given the chance to retake exams, which is truly beneficial.

@@jahedulislamayan7404 Hello 🤗, I apologize for my delayed response, which arrives a month later. When I started my studies in chemical engineering, my grasp of chemistry was rather elementary. Fortunately, the chemical engineering curriculum includes a foundational chemistry course. In the first year of chemical engineering studies, the focus is on providing an introductory overview of various specializations within the field. The available Bachelor's majors include Chemistry and Materials Science, Chemical Engineering and Processes, and Bioproducts. I'm not certain about the options available on the international side, but the students who study in Finnish have the opportunity to select their major at the conclusion of their first year of study. I must emphasize that chemical engineering opens up promising career prospects in Finland. At Aalto University, chemical engineering is a program that accommodates a significant number of students. This is primarily because there is a high demand for chemical engineers in Finland, making it an attractive field of study for aspiring professionals. 😊📚
