I'm actually dressing up more than I did before the pandemic. I've been trying out new looks, playing around with my hairstyle/makeup/wardrobe/etc just because I can figure out what I like without the comments/opinions from the "outside" world. It almost feels like when I was a little girl playing dress up. It's been my "fun" during this time.

Hi Sophie, because I was on bedroom lockdown for 12 weeks, I started doing some crafting, I’ve never had a real hobby before (my hubby has taken up fishing, which is brilliant, as we never know what to buy him for Christmas, now he has a hobby he’s set) back to crafting. Well we have a summer house in our garden, that we have been using as a shed since we moved here nearly 4 years ago. My hubby bought himself a proper big shed, then moved all the garden and man tools out of the summerhouse, gave me the key and said, there’s your new craft room. It was such a lovely gesture I cried. I’ve just ordered from amazon 4 big shelving units, and 18 containers to put all my craft supplies in, on the shelves. hubby is trying so hard to pull me out of the dark place I slipped into during lockdown. 💐💐💐💐💐💐

I've worn one pair of black loafers outside of my apartment since March 11th. They get sprayed with disinfectant and put on a fresh paper towel every time I come inside. I did buy several new pairs of house slippers, because I wear them so much. The black loafers will get tossed one day...🤞❤. I'm enjoying cooking more and need to check out the toaster. Seems like it makes simple food that's pretty to look at. Thanks for the video, Sophie❣

During this pandemic it’s made me take a look into my handbag collection, and completely want to change it around. I’m finding myself grabbing my big totes mainly, but keeping one of my clutches with a chain inside it so I can just grab and go from the car for store runs and errands. Medium and small bags just are collecting dust in my closet. I also carry my totes inside for small grocery items, which kinda freaked me out at first worried about ruining them, but they do just fine.

Since I'm (still) at my parent's house (haven't been to Munich, where my apartment is, since Covid-19 started), I only have a few of my clothes / dresses I usually wear (those I brought with me back then), these I wear when I have to go outside; heels I wear always, except when I'm in the middle of the woods or meadows (then, of course, I also don't wear my dresses, but older clothes). My bags are stored safely, I only check them now and then; my SLGs are the items I still get the most use out of, because I have to use cards for bank transactions or pay someone anyways, and I enjoy being able to swipe in and out of those I have and change them. Apart from that, actually nothing special that I do; right, I didn't re-dye my hair, even though the few grey hairs bother me, but it's healthier for the scalp if you don't dye, so I leave it; and even though I personally feel better wearing make-up (especially eye make-up and lipstick), I usually don't wear make-up when I stay at home. And I bought a nice house gown. Loved the video, Sophie 💞❤!

I use my Clipa- we don’t go out a lot but we have been venturing out to places with outdoor seating for brunch or outdoor beer gardens, and I don’t want to set my bag (or mask) on the table- or anywhere, so it is a nice hook for my stuff. And my Singer Featherweight 221 antique sewing machine. I haven’t sewed much since my son was young but I am making lots of masks to look cute and keep busy. I’m sewing while watching your video..

I think I’ve driven my car 5 times since March & I’m not sure I will ever wear stilettos higher than 10cm ever again (I might sell most of them TBH). My style & tastes have changed so much that after completely renovating my actual physical closet, I’m only putting a few key items back in there (the rest are going to be sold, repurposed, donated or thrown out). I’ve now started on completely redecorating the entire house, so items like my sewing machine & stuff for repainting the walls & furniture are very much back in use. I’ve also turned my attention from fashion to homewares. I think if this situation goes on too much longer, I’m going to start investing in high quality loungewear & pyjamas. I’m so glad you kept that Chanel bucket bag & didn’t end up swapping it for the other one, it looks so classy & understated, one of the few Chanel bags I’d consider (I’m personally not a fan of puffy quilting). Breville toasted sandwich makers also make great apple turnovers & the like.

I hardly ever go out anywhere now, and on lockdown I bought my first LV key cles with the clasp and little zip. I don't even put it in anything, I just put my key in there, license, one debit card, and then instead of hooking my key to the clasp, I attach the clasp to my belt loop so it hangs from my jeans. That way I don't touch any bags or have to worry about a strap slipping off my shoulder if I've touched something and still need to sanitize my hands. I use it EVERY time now. The only other bag I've ever used is my chanel mini square. I used to use my pochette metis every single day, but now it sits totally unused.

i live in track suit like items and crocs, but was like that even before covid. If ever i am feeling gross i do a self-care session or get dolled up in something more stylish and do my makeup and go shopping in town. I also get dressed and made up when my girl friends come over. I am starting to feel more comfortable going out now and can handle wearing the mask longer without it making me feel panicky. I am dreaming daily about the day the shop keepers take down the “mask required” signs from the windows and i can feel free to enjoy shopping more. I have DEFINITELY spent more on self care items recently! probably far too much, but it really does make me feel well cared for. I have been taking more naps too, as would be natural after such trauma. I made my own vision board for the remainder of 2020 into 2030 and it makes me so happy to look at and think about every day, it really is a form of alchemy. Thank you for these videos, they add to my restoration. Stay blessed darling, enjoy your lovely cheese sandwiches ! ❤️🌿👌

I’ve worn a tailored dress and heels once since March and that’s because me and hubby dared to go for a local lunch for my birthday two weeks ago. Other than that, I’ve found that I’ve now shopped at Abercrombie & Fitch, PLT and Boohoo for loungewear, joggers, sweatshirts. I never really wore those things before so found I had to invest in some. All of my heels must think I’ve left this earth! I even wonder if they’ll fit me again - I think my feet may have ‘spread’ from wearing slippers, flip flops and trainers for 7 solid months. Like you, I still use my bags in the house as I need my cards, brush (for video calls), lip gloss, hand cream, etc to hand. Weird times!!!!

This is a curious topic for me as I had retired early, about a year before Covid, so I was already not wearing work clothes (thank god, no more suits, which were basically required as I was in a courtroom every single day), and I wasn’t driving as much because of no commute. Since Covid I’ve had to jump my battery because I rarely go anywhere, groceries are delivered, my friends are so far flung and I can’t, or won’t, fly. What I DO use are the most disreputable, ratty clothes you can image because my main activity is gardening now. I have kept up my obsessive handbag and knitwear buying as I’m an optimist and ever hopeful things will open up again. I have serious bag envy over your medium Lady Dior, and am still looking for the perfect bucket bag. Love your channel, your attitude and your boundless energy. God, I’m boring. 😷

A skincare brand I ADORE is called Antipodes from New Zealand , they use really unique ingredients that are all naturally sourced, all glass bottles and they're female owned. I particularly love my Manuka Honey day cream and their H2o Hydrating Water Gel. For my birthday, my team bought me the Prada water bottle which is a novelty but also small enough for the smaller bags and makes you feel nice a bouji!! Thank you so much for your continued uplifting and inspirational videos. Thanks to you, I have launched not one but TWO businesses which are both doing starting to pick upl. You rock and have a FABULOUS start to your week xxxxxxx

Great video, Sophie! I haven´t worn heels in ages, only sneakers and now boots:) The same for dressy bags or other items, I can´t be even bothered to wear a coat, I just wear a sport jacket to go to work. But I think I will force myself to wear something nicer in the near future to cheer myself up!

Hi Sophie, great video, I had to shield during lockdown, and now here in NI we have much stricter restrictions than the mainland, so I have spent my days/months in jeans, tshirts and now jumpers. One thing I have done to cheer things up is paint my nails bright red instead of my usual pale choice. Handbags, cars, coats have kind of gone out the window completely. Think we are all similar, styles have changed during this pandemic for sure. Take care and stay safe xx

Hello Jill!! Ahh I get you, everything sort of feels a bit pointless! (That's so depressing, but you know what I mean!) Sort of, not needing to get dressed-up is getting me down. I'm finding that I'm living in gym wear day-in day-out and I don't love it lol! You stay safe my friend, hugs xxx

I agree with so much of this! I have been working from home since March, so whenever I go back to the office, I will need to learn to walk in heels again. Whenever I leave the house, I use a small crossbody now.

Same Sophie, I always used to wear heels everyday to work but since working from home I haven’t touched them. We went out for dinner when it was eat out to help out and I wore jeans and heels as I normal would and felt so overdressed and odd 😭but that’s what I would usually have worn before lockdown.

Wow! Early in the Covid shut-in I really missed wearing lipstick. But, I now wear a face shield and I only wear a mask as well if it's a medical appointment. Also, I have an excellent Bréville ice cream churner but I have not used it for months because I've come off sugar so as to lose weight!!

I wore jeans 95% of the time before the pandemic while my dresses just hung prettily in my closet. I now wear my dresses 80% of the time. My large work bags are not getting any use now, and my heels have been traded in for sneakers and sandals. I’ve also started running, so compression leggings, running shoes, and baseball caps have been added to my wardrobe. My fitness watch now takes the place of my regular watches. So yeah, definitely different, but I can’t say that I dislike it since I feel like I’m finally using the dressier parts of my closet that I’ve neglected for so long.

I haven't downsize my bag, cuz instead of a water bottle or book, I now carry around a hand sanitizer, wipes/tissues, a pair of gloves and an extra mask in addition to the key/wallet/phone. One thing I have been wearing ALOT now and never before are actually minidresses! Well, they are suppose to be normal sweater/shirtdresses I think, but being 5'9 they are kinda short on me and I don't feel comfortable wearing them out. However, they are perfect for video conference meetings. I just put them over my pajama and done. :P

Have stopped wearing heels as well! Glad it’s the combat boots era at the moment. Gives a bit of height without the need of heels (as someone on the petite side, 5”3). Realized heels mess up your posture, and after consistently wearing heeled boots and heeled sandals, bad posture created back pain and I’ve been correcting it for a bit of time. Love Dior book tote! Bought the burgundy one in regular size! However, I’m living in Waterloo Canada, a bit of a smaller city, where people don’t really dress up, it’s a bit sad and I don’t really use the bag as much. 😞

I used to dress up whenever I head out but with masks made mandatory in my country, I had no choice but to ditch wearing make-up. But I find myself trying more and different dressing styles to compensate for the lack of make-up. A good change for me! I can't wait for mask-wearing days to go away soon! I also avoided carrying leather bags out because I can't really sanitise them. But with the situation improving at home, I am starting to take my leather bags with me!

I am wearing my FENDI color-block messenger bag to death. It's the men's version and I love the color way. I can be hands-free and find I don't need as much space as I needed pre-Covid. Since it is nylon, it is durable and I find I am reaching for this for biking, shopping, etc. Pre-Covid, I carried larger bags as I travel for work and even when I was not traveling, was rarely in my home. Prada saffiano tote, 31 hour Alexander Wang bag, Gucci crossbody laptop carrier are back to being lonely in my closet. I would leave my home at 6:30am and rarely returned before 8pm or later. Long work days, gym and dinners and after work cocktails were the norm. Heels, trousers and dresses are no more. Sneakers and track pants have taken over, although I keep the top professional.

Another great video Sophie! I always smile when your notifications of a new video is announced. I ran into my office with a sparkling water to watch! Think is will give myself a facial in a moment, but first I will log onto Etsy to find that eye cream. Thank you for sharing. Have a beautiful Sunday (-:

I still go out to work. I'm considered essential. I have been wearing more heels than before but I take them to work and wear them in the office not actually out on the street. I'm taking care of my shoes this way. I now have 10 Manolos 8 Hangisi, one sling back and one Fasa. I have 3 Salvatore Ferragamo heels two Vara and one mule and one Roger Vivier flat. Handbags one LV Damier Azur, one Salvatore Ferragamo Vara periwinkle blue and one Balmain Black Velvet with stars. Love your videos.

Very addicted to my Dior book tote. I spray with oxygen sanitizer to it every time I go out. I have felt organizer too and love it. Also used scotch guard on book tote when I first got it to protect the surface. Got a vitamix to improve my soups and smoothies.
