I’ve always been a MTB rider and DH rider but after visiting the Cairngorms it’s made me want a gravel bike and this video has confirmed it. I’ve walked many of the tracks you were on and can confirm even on foot it’s amazing

What inner with do you run on your wheelset, I was wondering if a 25mm inner with would fit w/ some 45c tires on the Addict Gravel front would be ok? Concerned about rear tire clearance?

I love my Addict Gravel. It's my favorite bike. Also my favorite to upgrade. last upgrade was a beautiful pair of Zipp 303 Firecrests. it rides beautifully. 🍻 Great video editing. Stunning views and great imagery.

Beautiful video like the previous one. Could you comment on the compliance/comfort of the Addict Gravel? I’ve read reviews that indicate that the front fork delivers a harsh ride over rougher terrain. It’s tricky to balance comfort and speed.
@ScottyLaughland
2 жыл бұрын
I don't have much in the way of comparisons, comparing it to the older model it certainly is more compliant and is a far more comfortable ride. I feel well balanced on the bike, it's stable and nimble, on the descents it accelerates and holds its speed. I love it but I guess it depends what you're looking for from a gravel bike...

@@ScottyLaughland That's useful to know. Thanks! In general, I think it's roadies moving towards gravel rather than MTBs coming from the opposite direction. So, your perspective is unique.

Hi Scotty, just found your channel and love the scenic adventure! I'm moving back to Scotland soon and probably going to have to carry a bit more kit etc than I usually do for weather, what is that bag in your frame?
@br5380
2 жыл бұрын
I use an equivalent bag, so much better than carrying a sack/waistbag or even stuffing pockets. It's often a long walk back in Scotland so carry everything you need for the day plus an ability to fix issues. Tubes, tubeless repair, chain repair, gear cable, brake pads, spare hanger, pump, co2 etc etc. Also first aid & survival blanket plus clothes, spare gloves (winter).

@@br5380 Thanks, i've become a part time roadie in the last few years and much prefer stuffing the pockets now and not using a camelbak or having too much weight on the body. Which is fine in stable Mediterranean climates but i'm presuming not Scotland. Thanks , great advice i'll definitely get one just to have extra dry clothing inside brrrrrrr haha.

I always loved SCOTT and had a few pf their bikes but once I got to know this NEW ADDICT was coming I went to my local Scott rep. They told me NO problem, buy a whole bike, it’ll be 4000.- euros. But I bought a lot of good kit over the years and just change the frames. They were like No problems man, we will get You the frame but it will still cost You 4000. And with both it will come mid-late 2022, it was in august 2021… So I decided not to Buy the SCOTT.
