In the future, I shall show more details to showcase more aspects and features of the cars. But whenever the chance, a more cinematic, emotionally driven approach like this is great fun and shows cars in a "different light". Beautiful Denali, I had a 2000 Yukon Denali it was silver and was in great shape like yours. 2yrs ago a lady ran a red light and t boned my truck and totaled it. I was devastated, had the truck for 17yrs and when I saw your video it reminded me of truck. You just can't find those 99-2000 Denali's in great shape.

That is unfortunate to. Say the least. Hopefully everyone was well! Indeed, they have become rare in good shape and several design elements make it look pretty sleek for its age. Not sure how much of a collectors vehicle these will become, but it seems that more people seem to like this design as time goes by. The silver color is great. Never seen one so far. Thanks for watching, I am thrilled that this truck gets so much response and motivates to make more videos to appreciate cars from that era!

I still got my 1999 GMC Yukon Denali. Mine's teal (almost like this one in the video, but a little more blue). It's beautiful and runs great! I'm never getting rid of it. I admit I'm obsessed with it; I clay bar it every year, buff it, wax it, polish it, and ceramic coat it every summer. It still looks like new😁

This sounds very much like my cleaning routine, including clay bar :) How great to hear that! Now that I come to think of it, thanks to the comments regarding the color and now Your mention of teal, the color range of the Denali seems to reflect very much the natural colors found at Mount Denali. Especially teal is very unusual on a vehicle and very much like spruce trees and the icy landscape there. Maybe a deliberate touch by the designers, as the truck seems to have a lot of thoughtful design details and a paint finish thats quite stunning. And even after 20 years, it still is a striking appearance, especially when clean and sparkling. We shall keep ours too. It is a joy to drive! Thanks for taking time to watch!!!

@@ThisCarChannel yeah the colors are pretty unique for this generation Yukon Denali! That's why I love it so much. It used to be my parents car that we used for road trips, and they gave it to me when I learned how to drive. It's been a part of our family since 2003 😁 I think if you have one of these, NEVER get rid of it, because you'll never see another good one most likely. I noticed that mine changes colors depending on the weather haha. On bright sunny days I can see the green, but on gray cloudy days I see the blue. It's always been unique to me😁

@@autolife2785 Yes true, same here. It seems to go from warm bright green in the sun to a deep cool tone in the shade. It is amazing how much a great paint adds to the look. Shapes are great, but a mirror (kinda poetically speaking) adds a magic touch!!!

@@Cumiskey I actually haven't done any exhaust work on mine. Biggest repairs I've had to make were fuel pump replacement, tie rod replacements, and just normal wear and tear like that. You made a very big point: these trucks are hard to find. You rarely ever see them out there on the road, and a lot of times when you wanna look something up on them ( like parts, or where they're located) it's hard to find on Google. It'll often direct you to either the 2000 and up base model Yukon, or it'll bring you to the box shaped 90s regular Yukon, or Tahoes.

Hi, and thanks a lot!!! The exhaust is all stock. But I placed the microphone pretty close to the exhaust for the recording so it sounds maybe a bit louder than in reality it was warmed up too. Over the years the sound has become a bit more raspy than when new. But it does surprisingly sound like this when standing next to it. Not very loud but quite substantial.

Hi, not sure. But a good paint shop should be able to get the right color mixed. They use the color code and special tools to match it to the original color. Especially with this particular green which has a rich color spectrum. A pro should be able to get that info for You. So it is worth looking for a real good shop. Many bodyshops and dealers of expensive cars send their cars to separate paintshops that have experience and they can trust to match and mix the color. Im sure they would let You know who does the paintwork for them.

What all did u do to the exhaust?
@ThisCarChannel
2 жыл бұрын
Hi! It is, surprisingly, still all stock and the exhaust is the original one from '99. It's not a very loud noise but the mic picked up that furnace-like bass note it has. In fact, it made me want to record a series of different exhaust sounds since I feel most recordings don't seem to reflect the full spectrum one hears right next to a car! Thanks for tuning in!!!!!
