Good stuff!! Every summer I’ll see kids on their bikes on the way to a fishin hole. Always makes me smile and think about my own boyhood. Might follow your example and do that again!

Interesting to hear you mention the C&O Canal! I had always figured from your videos that you live quite a bit further south! A fantastic place to hike, bike, fish, paddle, and just generally love the outdoors near the nation's capital!

I use the silicon covered gear ties to secure the rod in the holder on my fishing bike rig. Nice tip on angling the holder for freshwater fishing. Mine is vertical and hits branches all the time.

Do you attach it to the crate or the bar? I use velcro when I attach a rod to the horizontal bar. Gear ties are a better idea!

Nice set-up 👍. Good choice on the Bikeroo seat! I ord'd one for my eBike, and it's made a world of difference. Keep an eye on the underside spring suspension if yours has the steel springs. I went with the polymer spring setup. If you want to relieve/move some of the stuff on the handlebars, get an extender gear mount. Only $13 from amazon It's aluminum, and won't rust in the salty environment. Move up to a fat tire eBike eventually. You won't regret it. 😎

I assume your legs are in good shape and you are able to lift your right leg over the crate and other stuff to be able to get on and off the bike. Some of us old guys with artificial knees and hips might have to go to a sissy bike just to be able to get on the thing. But then we are old enough we could care less about the snide remarks from those half our age. But it looks great. Have fun peddling along. Whitefish

Just the title of this vid made me watch. You have obviously created a Beach Beast. I think you should name your bike. The flyfish rod holder is genius. The trash can mod is next level. The camp chair mod shows a superior brain. Now tell me....where's the fish?

lol.... that is the challenge! I have an upcoming video that goes public on Dec 22 that discusses luck. What does it depend on ... the location or the buddy?

Switching to tubeless (with sealant) would eliminate the need for the air pump and tire changing tools. You could save weight with that. Just keep a couple extra pounds of air in your tires. Lol.

I have been toying with the idea of taking an old child’s trailer made for a bike and converting it to a kayak trailer for the bike. Can you move you kayak without a car?
@KayakhacksFishing
2 жыл бұрын
Wow... that would be tough. I think the challenge would be traction on the skinny bike tires.
@brianfornario9506

So yeah you should buy one of those gas engine kits 100$ or less gives u everything needed to convert it into a motorized bike and it’s actually very easy to install and really fun to do and use afterwards helps you get those schools of fish when ur doing the saltwater chasing game gets you there slightly faster than peddling but more importantly ur not out of energy when you hustle to them either
@KayakhacksFishing

Good idea, but I need the exercise to stay in shape!
@brianfornario9506
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it will allow you to do both without adding a lot of extra weight you can still pedal it with motor you can also just as easy swap the chain over from motor to bike so easily in minutes that’s where the reliability factor comes into play you won’t have to be stuck anywhere ever

How's your balance with all that setup? I'm thinking of making the same setup but I don't know if I should go with a recumbent bike instead, to prevent falling over.
@KayakhacksFishing

It works fine so far. No issues with balance. I do try and offset the weight of the rods with heavier stuff on the other side.
