I read the 1st chapter of the zen of learning to ride a motorcycle because the book is not fully out yet and it's wonderful because it teaches you how to prepare your mind in another level. I totally recommend it and it's written by a woman

Sold me on every single one of these books. Just checked out Hood Feminism and am hoping I can one of these per month to my reading list. Did The Girls in the Picture encourage you to seek out any of Pickford or Marion's films? I'm a silent era fan, but I believe The Champ is the only Marion-written one I've seen, and that was a sound picture.

I'll plug Penelope Fitzgerald, a very gifted writer. And I'm reading Juliet Marillier currently, who has beautiful prose.

I think I never read a book written by a woman. I don’t think I ever will. (To be fair I only read nonfiction books about philosophy and metaphysical stuff and women don’t really seem to write much in that field)

@@Vickyanimates I really wanted to read a book written by a woman and I finally have, Occultism between search and addiction by Heide-Marie Cammans. It’s in German (my second language) and I want to write my Bachelor thesis on it. Can you recommend other books of that sort to me Vicky? :)
