Raymie thank you for the wonderful tutorial, you did a great job. I wish I would have thought of sewing the center area where they meet first. Then going down the whole seam. Thank you for that. 😊

Rylie, you did a great job, and I really like the pattern. My one suggestion would be when you show a different look (color versus background center square) I would like to see it made up, at least four blocks, so the new look would be more evident. Thank you

Raymie, you did a great job. You presented the instructions wonderfully and showing how you can change the look was great. It showed how to make the quilt in the individual's style. In the beginning of the video you said 6 inch squares to start. I think you meant 6 1/2 inch squares to make a 6 inch hst. I look forward to seeing more videos featuring you. BUT the whole family does a really good presentation.

I could never stand up and sew. Anybody here can stand up and sew?
@andreamaclachlan980

I learnt to do it a few years ago. Had to. Homeless and staying with one of my adult sons for a bit, I could only use my machine on my small cutting bench. I was blessed to have that opportunity. I also have back issues. I found I could sew for longer standing. It takes a bit of getting used to and co-ordination.... I have a button on my machine. Forgot to press it in time a few times, but we all survived.

I have been standing to sew for years. Sitting while sewing creates a soothing experience while sewing until you get up, then it hurts. I bypass that all together by standing. When my feet or legs get tired, I know it is time to quit. Plus The ironing board is in the other room. This has worked well for years. The height on most cabinets is not right for me ergonomically. Because I am so focused on sewing, I dont notice how bad the ergonomics are until I stand up.

I have tried when feet, back, and neck ache. However, takes more practice and a higher table, so not easy for me to do.

I used to work on wedding dresses (loooong trains) hung on a pulley system.... sometimes it was just easier to take the machine to the dresses and the chairs got in the way, so I got used to it... now I have an adjustable height table and it's better for me to switch positions and avoid fatigue

Because my Janome can operate with either a footpedal or a push start/stop button, I can easily sew standing-up using the button. I began doing this during a flare-up of my sciatic nerve. I think with practice, one can learn both.

For one thing, you CANNOT get a 6” half sq triangle from a 6” block
