This is the system of foundation I imagine. But can you build a house like this? I would like to build a pole-barn house.

Commonly referred to as barndominiums nowadays. Post frame construction has been around for centuries. Developments recently have been post longevity.

RR has build up north and are different then the south like Texas. I’m having a hard time finding out what foundation to go with on my post frame house.

So if you do the perma brackets and your slab is perfectly square how much work do you have to put in to get the posts square?

I’m curious about the pier and pad foundation. My feels the slab can move everywhere except where the piers are. How do you keep the pad from cracking and breaking frost heave?

I’m down in Texas and would like to know how to do that foundation. Do you put rebar in the holes you dig? Do you bell it out at the bottom?

how long do the bolts go into the concrete
@tt7hvn

6" You can do either a monolithic pour or just pour your piers first. It doesn't matter as long as the anchors have 6" of concrete to go into.

Could there be issues with frost when the ground freezes pushing on the slab since there is no full foundation wall and the fact the piers are tied to it and below the frost line? The piers are not going to move and the slab may with frost heave in the winter. Are there any issues with it cracking at corners and/or where the piers meet the slab? Thanks

Could I use this on a 6" thick slab

Yes. You don't have to do a monolithic pour. You could just pour your piers first, set up everything else and pour your concrete last.
