+ernesto 67 Wait, a white dude playing traditional American folk music is somehow a slap in the face to those people from whose tradition the very same folk music was born? I'm neither fascists, nor racist, but I am a white Southern man and I don't feel like I've been slapped in the face at all. In fact, I take it as quite the compliment that a man from so very far away would see the value and worthiness in the music of my ancestors. Thank you, Laur, you do it as well any of the legends. Jamie Laszlo Most are following the money and the current trends - and these practices become traditions - and that results in 'artists' not straying very far from what's already been recently successful. The difference between good leaders like Sturgill and followers is that leaders learn a thing or two from history, while followers tend to repeat. That's my pet theory, anyhow. KEXP... you have an annoying habit of jumping all over the place and cutting away from the soloist when he is ripping it up. You should find a nice angle that shows the hands of the soloist and try to stay on that during solos and interesting breaks. If you folks are in the music business, your editors should know enough about music to identify those sections of the performances. Just a friendly suggestion.
