Great video and great performance. STV is definitely the way to go.. I have had two of them both with the 2.5 EFI 260.. One was a Pro Comp Ski and one was a Euro Comp. Great hulls.👍

131+ mph holy Sh**. My light weight center steer Hydro Stream Vector ran 94-98mph with mod merc carb 2.4, hotfoot, trim on wheel Hydraulic jack plate and a 30 pitch. Anything in 90s was a chine walking hell ride. My uncle Pete Oreill'y "Sneaky Pete"ran much faster than me in 70s-80s on circuit with a comp vector with EVIL Race CCC Evinrude on it, but was still not even close to your boat brother, amazing!

Hydrostream Vector was no where near as good or fast as a Viking.

@@MasterWitchDoctor - not as good because it's harder to pilot at speed. If you can handle it the Vector is a faster hull.

So stable wow! My old modified vector light weight HydroStream very modified carb 2.4 would have been chine walking all over at low to mid 90s while changing my underwear. lol Technology and design are amazing now a days.

That 300 sounds entirely different than a 2.5. mainly because she doesn't turn near the Rs. You can hear the extra cubes in the exhaust note though. Cost a lotta money to make a 300 run like that.

And they don't have a dry stack relieved exhaust. The 300X is a bit slower all else being equal, but they are a bit more user friendly.

Assuming its hydraulic steering. I was always worried about mine but when i see videos like yours, makes me think its normal. I'm talking about how your always turning right more and more.

What are you doing with the trim as you approach maximum speed? I know you need to trim up as you get up to 80 mph so that the ass end gets out of the water, but after that do you trim back down to a more neutral position?
@scawdthedog

That pass I did not touch the trim. I like to pre set at neutral and go and not touch the trim at all.

Interesting. I just got an STV pro comp ski with a Mercury 2.5 EFI SS on it and I can't get it past 80 mph, pedal to the metal and trimmed all the way out. If I trim down it slows down. What do you think is the issue? I've got a Mazco 05 cleaver on it. The previous owner has had it up to 113 mph.

Your motor may be too low- How high is your nose of your gear case in relation to the pad?
@ibreakkidslegs

I'm not sure, to be honest. I could send you a side-view picture of the boat sitting in the water, if that conveys an idea of what you're asking.

ibreakkidslegs that won't help at all. you need to get a 4' level and run along bottom of pad to nose cone on motor and measure how far above or under you are
