Your videos are really helpful for those looking to do motion design professionally. I tend to always skip pre-production and get straight to animating as soon as I have an idea which usually just ends up as an unfinished project file on my computer. Thank you for sharing your process!

That's a pretty common symptom of skipping pre-production. However, I have plenty of personal projects that never made it past style frames :) so it's certainly not going to solve all problems.

I really enjoy your pre-production videos. I am doing a bachelor degree on visual communication where I'm trying to focus on motion graphics, while the main focus of the program is not motion graphics. Your videos help me focus on learning how to create good processes for my projects. Thank you for making these videos, looking forward to the next one!

Truly thank you sir❤❤❤May I ask for 3D animation if we aren't good at photoshop and have more 3D based skills. Would u suggest proceeding in modeling texturing and setting up the scene to render a styleframe to show the final look and feel of the animation but before animating or it's not clever?Like a proejct pitch but then if they say no u still lose hrs of work. Also are style frames created before or after the storyboards?
@ECAbrams

Usually styleframes get pitched and agreed on before boards. The style can really impact framing choices. As for the 3d question, the recommendation is to use place holders as much as possible. Anything you can do to cut down the hours that go into work that won't be paid is the way forward. Sometimes a technical test is needed so you're going to be applying lighting and materials to models that aren't the final models for example.

Also another way to export them for clients is exportthem as a pdf so anyone can scroll through it its also a popular approach to present work that I learned from school of motion design bootcamp.

It's a product of the production process where the look of a piece is defined. Does the video not explain that? Whoops.

I think I can make that happen. There are a few more stages of the process to cover. Coming up are Storyboards, but we may also come back and revisit writing for video and scripts, as well as the animatic process.
