Styx, I grew up with you. You were "My" band.... I trotted you our amoung my friends. A chick at a record store told me that "This rocks"...The stereo in my car in 1979 would melt a battery in an hour. So, I had 2. I know that after my friends heard Styx, they emptied the shelves at the local record stores. It thrilled me to pass along tight talent!

JY is the heart and soul that holds this thing together. If JY is having fun and feeling good the band rocks. If you see him forcing a little the shows are dramaticly different. If it's really hot he doesn't handle it like he did at 30, but on his worst day he is the smoothest player you will ever see. He is effortless.

1st concert I seen was Styx paradise theater tour. Great show. My buddy and myself couldn't land any weed before we went, but a blind guy in front us was smoking his with us all night. They came to town few years back and kinda regret not going. I was doing taxi work and they were at a little venue playing outside so I end up sitting there for while and listening. Still, I really have no interest in going to concerts anymore but would be cool to say they were 1st and last group I seen. If they come again (Pittsburgh) I " might" really go see them. It's going be them or nobody. There just Great performer's and seemed to still be able to get the crowd going and involved from what I heard. Even others outside listening or walking by seemed into it alot. Very under rated group, I guess just got lost in the mix of groups of that Era.
